Read moreI was let down by this place unfortunately. My Lyft drops me off at 8:03am, I go in, theres plenty of seating and not many people nor a big rush. The girl at the kiosk who sits people asked if I want to sit at the little bar area, I told her no (because I like my peace and quiet when I eat as my days are chaotic), i then ask for a booth, which is never a problem in the 32 years Ive been dining anywhere else, the girl tells me that she wont sit me in a booth because I’m “by myself”… (LOL.. okay)… she then proceeds to sit me in this small wobbly table in the corner where there is a literal wall on my left shoulder, mind you, as I walked to this corner, there is a white gentleman sitting by himself in a booth, and literally 5 empty booths and atleast 15 empty tables to seat parties of 4 or more. The lady who brought the food out to me was also rude and short when i asked questions about the food. Im Hispanic, and this place made me feel like im unwanted here and gave me racist vibes. I'm not much of a bread eater. But if you really like big biscuits, this is your thing!
My wife ordered the 1/2 Order of Biscuits and Gravy. Het biscuit was also very large, but there was plenty of sausage gravy to offset it. She really liked her meal.
My dad ordered the Salmon Omelet. It was a good size omelet. He enjoyed it and ate most of it, which is good for him!
The staff was excellent, very friendly and attentive. They have an open kitchen, five chefs in there seem to work very well together. I watched them for several minutes putting out great looking food, one after another, and nothing came back! The place was very busy, it was a Saturday morning, after all.
My daughter lives here in Reno and she loves the place! It's her go-to place when hosting friends from out of town. Definitely would eat...
