I'm originally from the South OC, and I'm proud that I had the ability to buy property in the South OC. Due to my relationship and employment, I transplanted to Rialto. However, all my identification still states South OC as a primary address. When I first moved to Rialto, I shopped at this Stater Bros. Only for my check to be refused because my identification stated I was from the South OC. The manager on duty at that time, was young argumentative and rude. I spoke to the store manager, Tim Bougie. I woke up at 6am with all my identifications and bank statements to meet with Tim. He promised me that my check would not be refused again. I've never bounced a check, and have a checking account that can easily clear the checks I write. A month after meeting with Tim, my check gets refused again for the same issue. My address on my identification stated South OC. Again, I go to the store to speak with Tim. He introduces me to his asst store manager and once again promises me that this situation and embarrassment will not happen again. This evening, 10/22/17 at 8:30pm I went grocery shopping again. Yet again, my check is rejected by his manager on duty who decided to challenge me when I mentioned that If I use my debit card to pay I will call Tim in the morning because I am not suppose to have this issue anymore. I asked the manager on duty to call Tim to verify my identity and he refused. This manager was again, young, arrogant, and argumentative. I choose to write a check because it is my method of keeping track of my accounting. I am constantly being harassed and embarrassed at this store because I have property in two different counties and I choose for Orange County to be my primary address listing. I easily spent $300-$400 every time I do a full week shopping for groceries. You would think that Tim would want to keep a customer who spends loyally happy. You'd think that in this day and age a person would be able to have more than one address. And, the fact that all these young managers are argumentative, cocky and offer no customer service or resolution techniques makes one wonder about the training from corporate all the way down the food chain. When I go to Stater Bros on Foothill I never have a problem! Tim and Andrew just testified in court against a man who stole a candy bar and tooth brush. This man got the maximum penalty. This is what this community is reduced to??? Sending mentally ill people to jail who need a candy bar and toothbrush? Profiling customers who have more than one address? Harassing & embarrassing customers? I spoke to the store security tonight and even she said, "Yes...I see you shop here all the time!" I am beyond upset. The training of staff at this location is not acceptable. Seems to be a lot of messages about the...
Read more(Also posted on Yelp)I live in Rancho Cucamonga but I have been going to this Stater Bros. Market for years because my parents live in North Rialto and I'm always over there. Over the years I have seen managers and employees come and go because they were most likely transferred but there are a few veterans, as I call them, that are still there and I can honestly say they are all wonderful. I go to different markets for different things and I frequent this particular store for the quality of the meat and the excellent customer service and the great sales they have. Even though you might see new faces working there for the most part they are all amazing people. I especially want to name Lovette, he is a manager and he goes above and beyond to make sure your shopping experience there is pleasant. I had a horrible experience with someone in the store whom I don't care to name after 20 some odd years of no bad experiences recently, and Lovette handled it so professionally and promptly even though this employee was rude and did not respect me, the customer, Lovette, the manager or the store overall, Lovette did not fold under pressure he maintained a calm and kind demeanor in this instance. Billy Kemp, the store manager and also Alex and Mike also managers also acted swiftly and promptly in the matter and really made me feel that how I felt mattered. I appreciate them so much for that. This store is always clean and well maintained. All of the morning cashiers are amazing and have outstanding customer service, Cindy is wonderful and all the ladies and gentlemen but honestly all of the cashiers are good people as well as the baggers...( is that what they are called) all the way down to the security guards. Unlike some other Super Markets I visit, this Stater Bros. gives you a feel of a strong community bond and a very warm personal experience every time. I HIGHLY recommend this location for your...
Read moreNow it's very hard to write a review for a grocery store because what do you say, I came there ... got my groceries ... it was good. And most of the time, if you do see a review on the grocery store it's because someone was angry and left a bad one just because something without a place or someone had a bad experience. Most people never post good reviews about the time that they had at the grocery store. With that being said, I have to say at this Stater Bros there are two employees that always make my day great. One of them is Mr. Johnny, I think he's a cashier always in the front or at least. I always see him in the front And the other is a young lady whose name I don't know, so I'll just call her Miss Positive. Both of these employees are always so energetic and friendly It almost feels like Stater Bros started using the same process to hire people as chick fil and starbucks ........... Watch out Vons, Stater Bros...
