Tactical Escape 101- Rice Lake Escape Rooms — Attraction in Rice Lake

Tactical escape has us always coming back for more fun! They change their rooms more often than any other brand with super unique themes like Gilligan's island (3 hour tour), inside a fish bowl (tanked), among others. The rice lake location has some of our favorites. We've done over 100 rooms now and can easily say that tactical is a good and reliable brand at any of their locations. The rooms have a lot of standard locks and some inclusion of newer integrated technology. If you get lucky, one of the owners might be there and you can have some good escape room talk and maybe pet a super friendly dog! The rooms tend to be medium/easy difficulty compared to all other rooms we've done, so newbies shouldn't be afraid to start here, but experienced folks can challenge themselves by not taking clues! All the puzzles are logical and rooms can be done with just two people (but more people, especially if you are newer, are helpful). The room decoration and theming is so fun and creative. I highly recommend tanked for kids, but for their other current rooms Jewel heist and three hour tour (my favorite but I'm a huge Gillian's island fan) are also really fun. I wanted to try something different for my birthday this year, so I ask my family if they wanted to try the Tactical Escape room in the mall in Rice Lake. We did not know what to expect going in, especially given the fact that it was our first time doing anything like this but it was the best experience we've ever had. I could not believe how incredibly friendly the staff was, how helpful they were, how enthusiastic they were about what they were doing, it was an amazing experience from the minute we walked in the door, to the time that we left. Our game master was Kenna, she was so much fun. Talking with her was like talking with a friend or family member. Kenna was also extremely helpful when it came to Clues and helping us out. My family and I decided to do the stranger things upside down room and it was awesome you can really tell how much time and effort the people who work at tactical Escape put into their rooms and the clues. My family and I will definitely be back as often as we can. I had an absolute blast at this Stranger Things-themed escape room, and it was all thanks to Natasha! From the moment we stepped in, the atmosphere was perfectly eerie, transporting us straight to the Upside Down. Natasha was an incredible game master—her enthusiasm, attention to detail, and perfectly timed hints made the experience even more immersive.

The highlight of the night? I fully embraced my inner Demogorgon, lurking in the shadows and adding to the suspense! Let’s just say my teammates may have been more afraid of me than the puzzles. The set design was next-level, the challenges were creative, and the whole experience was a perfect mix of fun and intensity.
