Me and my wife went here shopping for a new couch. The salesman we were working with was obviously new which isn't a big deal to us. We found a couple things we were possibly interested in. We clearly stated we wanted to know more about their financing and if we'd be approved. We were approved for the more expensive one we were interested in while we were discussing further the salesman continued some work on the computer which I figured was standard. He hit a snag for being new and paged the store manager to come up and help. We all thought he was helping another customer. No he was on the phone with a significant other or some other personal call. After finally getting off the phone to help he assisted the salesman. What I didn't know was he was trying to charge me the down payment for something that was going to be out of our price range and without our authorization on it. When I overheard finally what they were doing I stopped them but was a little late as I now have an open account through their financing provider I have to deal with. Do not go here. It'd be 0 stars if I could.
Edit to 2 stars. After going in and getting properly explained the financing details I understand the account being opened part. However it does not excuse the actions and attitude of the store manager. I'll explain that further. After he found the time to get off the phone and help her offered no explanation about financing or what was happening. He actually did quite the opposite in after we declined the $5000 sectional and we had mentioned there was a different sectional and recliner we'd be interested in and more readily able to afford he started the cancellation on the authorization(leading to further confusion on our part) and said to the salesman, wouldn't even address us directly, that "they(me and my wife) don't need to be here for this". As we were the only 4 people in the store we took that piss poor attitude and left finding a sectional and recliner at another store.
I raise it to 2 stars only for the professionalism, courtesy and explanation provided...
Read moreI’ve been in Furnish 123 a total of three time spending over 4 thousand dollars total. The last time I was there I was looking for a coffee table, tv stand and side table. The set I picked out was a popular set so I was told it would take 3-4 weeks to be delivered, which I was fine with. A month went by and I never heard anything or received my furniture, so I called them, no one picked up so I left a message. No one ever returned my call. So I call back a few days later and the woman I spoke with said things were running a bit behind and would contact me with a delivery date in about a week, which I was understanding and fine with. Well once again I was not contacted. This time when I called I was growing quite frustrated because it has now been two months since my original purchase and I was promised a delivery of 3-4 weeks. The woman I spoke with offered me the floor model!!! Are you kidding me? I’ve waited this long and you’re going to offer me a floor model! Anyways to make a long story short it took nearly 3 months for my furniture to finally be delivered. I was a repeat costumer who paid a lot of money in that store but after that last experience I will NEVER go back there. I’ll give my business elsewhere that treats me...
Read moreOne of the most stressful situations purchasing a couch. I purchase a couch on Friday and I’m told that by Wednesday it should be in. I pay $150 extra for “white glove” delivery. Wednesday passes with no contact, Thursday passes, Friday passes. I called the store on Saturday morning as they are open that day. I got an answer; and when I asked about my couch, I was told… it’s there and has been there for days, and he seemed confused that Delivery hadn’t reached out to me yet. We agreed I’d call first thing Monday to schedule them to bring it the 0.5 miles from their store to my apartment. 11 am Monday I call the store, and the delivery guy tries to tell me he can mark me down for Friday if that works for me. For obvious reasons, that’s quite a ridiculous time to wait for something you’ve paid over $1,300 for when it’s less than one mile from your house. I explain they’ve had the couch for almost a week already, and that another week is insane, he tells me “best I can do is Wednesday, I don’t do delivery’s Monday-Tuesday. This individuals job title is “delivery specialist” and I was told they work Monday-Friday
If I could...
