Badger Brew Coffee — Restaurant in Rice Lake

Updating my review because Badger Brew has moved to a new location! They are now in the Rose Stone Plaza next to Papa Murphy’s. Their new location has some lovely outdoor seating and lots of space inside too. The coffee is still amazing as per usual, they actually put the correct amount of espresso in breves and lattes. :) The baked goods are all amazing and now sometimes they sell gorgeous flowers from Turtle Creek Farm! The new location is really nice and the owner is great. This place is a must stop.

Old review: Our entire family loves this place. They have the best breve I have ever had in my life. Their pastries are so tasty. They have a ton of comfortable seating upstairs and they have seating downstairs as well. The menu is very diverse. They have lots of cute merchandise from other small businesses available for you to purchase. Even real honey and real maple syrup. We bring our four children along sometimes and they get their own little steamers with a drizzle of maple syrup and have a grand old time with their 'coffees'. There is even a highchair for babies and there are private rooms that I think you can reserve for a group. Don't go to Starbucks, go to Badger Brew and you will be supporting an amazing small business with the best cup of coffee in...

Stopped by on our way past town as we wanted to support a local shop. Reviews and Google overview had stated there were breakfast food options such as wraps but they only had pastries, Açaí Bowls, and Kolaches. They also don’t have a menu posted anywhere online so we couldn’t verify there was/ was not food. The Kolaches are the frozen ones they put in the microwave/ warmer and they weren’t good. My husband got an iced caramel latte and I got the special Brown Butter Toffee Breve. Mine wasn’t good and my husband said his was terrible (he’s not picky). The espresso was burnt. The blueberry, lemon scone with lavender glaze wasn’t bad. Also, the tip options on their pad were 30%, 35%, and 40%. Seriously? I don’t mind tipping and I usually do, but you want 40% for putting something in the microwave and burning...

Went this week for the first time and ordered a March Special - Irish Cream Chai Latte. I got it iced and with almond milk, which is my typical order. The service was great and the cafe is inviting and roomy. However, my drink was undrinkable. I don't know what the flavor was, but it was not Irish Cream. It left a metallic taste in my mouth.
