I went to the restaurant one evening this February with my mom. When we arrived there were 3 separate tables with customers in the entire place so I was thinking service would be great since they were not busy. I was wrong! First we were seated at a table directly below a very loud speaker that was playing sports broadcast. Our waitress took at least 10 minutes to get to us just to ask if we wanted something to drink. We started looking at the menu and all the other customers finished eating and left by the time the waitress got back to take the food order (15 minutes). Food prep time was normal and we got the food. During the meal I was hoping to get a refill on my drink but the waitress is not in sight... But we can hear her conversation with someone in the back. She was going on about her drama with her child's father (which we can hear over the LOUD radio). The owner is sitting at the table behind us oblivious to our waitress being needed (or to the fact that both of us at the table keep commenting on how loud and irritating the radio is). Finally the waitress came to check on us at the end of the meal and I asked for the drink refill. We finish eating and I looked for the waitress for the bill and finally just went to stand at the counter after waiting 5-10 minutes. She gets to the counter completely oblivious to the fact that we are not happy with the experience here. I have not gone back since. Oh, and the food was nothing to brag about. Price was the only positive of...
Read moreI've been coming here pretty regularly for over a year now. I generally order the same thing- chicken bacon wrap- every time. When I first started coming to eat this, the tortilla was delicious and crispy. It really stuck in my head and was my favorite dish to order out. Today, I had a soggy tortilla. The lettuce used inside the wrap was the same as what came as garnish for my boyfriend's burger, which isn't how it usually comes. My boyfriend ordered the Rice Lake Chicken sandwich, (comes with Swiss cheese and mushrooms ontop chicken) and was served a plain chicken sandwich with tomatoes on dry bread. There was another menu item above the one my boyfriend ordered that he actually received. We aren't the kind of people to complain, so we ate what we were given, paid, and left. But I will say that we are very disappointed that our favorite place to eat has disappointed us. A restaurant is supposed to be able to have consistency. Every dish is supposed to taste the same regardless of who makes it. If your cooks can't impress me with a wrap, something so simple I could make it at home better- I'm not going to continue dining at this establishment. Besides that, we were treated well by wait staff. Very attentive young ladies that do...
Read moreWe stopped in here on a Saturday late in the morning on the way to the LWC in Hayward. The food was alright, your typical diner fair. The help didn't seem too interested in helping though. The waitress dropped our drinks and disappeared for 30 minutes even though we said we were ready to order. It wasn't that she wasn't there, she just didn't stop. I shouldn't have to chase someone down to place an order at a dine in restaurant.
After we finally got our food (which came super quick so kudos to the chef), she didn't bother to check on us once, so no refill for this guy I guess. It also took another 25 mins of waiting with empty plates to even see a check.
The cashier was really interested in her phone, far more interested than she was in taking my money. I don't think she looked up from it one time during the entire transaction.
This place could rate higher if you're judging on food alone (the menu is a bit big and intimidating since there are TWO MENUS). Unfortunately the experience ruined the food for me. Next time I head up north...
