On my recent visit of 6/8/24, I've noticed some changes. First of all, the service is not the same. There was no warm welcome - just a question if I wanted a table or was there to pickup an order. It doesn't bother me if they don't speak a lot of English, it's just nice for people to say "hello" first!
I haven't ordered from here for several months, so I wasn't surprised to see that the prices had increased...maybe about 10%. I was surprised to see that the quality and skill that goes into creating sushi pieces had declined.
I ordered a tuna roll and it looked more like the pipes of a pipe organ since not one piece was the same size as another! The octopus was very tough and the seaweed salad had more lettuce underneath than in the past.
I don't necessarily mind paying a little more for good quality food and service but I didn't get that this time. They struck out...
Read moreWhat an awesome surprise! Since it's opened we've wanted to go and just plain forgot it was there or because of its location never thought about it. Both my husband and I were very happy with our food choices. His being the beef hibachi lunch and mine being the chicken hibachi lunch both with fried rice and a side order of fried noodle. We also both opted for the salad vs. soup before our lunch. We were both a bit nervous as to the dressing as it's only one kind and no option for anything other than their house dressing but it was delicious!! Neither one of us had a complaint about anything throughout our entire visit. The wait staff was also very friendly and prompt. Well worth FINALLY trying, and we'll definitely be back!! Highly recommend and would rate Tokyo in top 3 restaurants in...

She could not finish. The Tempura had lots of veggies and sushi rolls as well as the deep fried chicken strips, and an onion ring which was accompanied by a sweet pleasant dipping sauce. And a bowl of Miso soup. Yum. My fried rice was tasty, too... not as elegant as the Tempura but very good and plenty of it. We also had tea, which came in a nice ceramic kettle. The restaurant is nicely finished and clean with an exposed kitchen. A refreshing change of...
