Went in to turn in 2 phones for a trade program that was started by a family member who lives in another state, who had already turned in their phone. That was all we had to do to complete the return process, according to emails from At&t to the account holder. At&t workers credited the returns to our account, but somehow couldn’t credit them to the program that was in progress (and waiting just for us to return these two phones), and so the return showed a piddly credit for each phone that we would have expected outside of any program. They claimed it was because we weren’t account holders AND/OR because we didn’t buy the phones there. Note that the return program is for switching to At&t from another carrier, so there is NO WAY we COULD have bought the phones there! Not only were they unhelpful, but they were condescending and snotty. We had copies of the emails which they did not want to see. They kept asking if I just wanted the phones back, and on my 3rd visit into the store that is what I ended up doing. I had to pay over $100 at UPS to just send the phones to the account holder in another state to take care of, which should not have been necessary. If this is any indication of our future relationship with this company, I am NOT looking...
Read moreI left Verizon and went to AT&T. Everyone I have talked to or met at the Rice Lake AT&T has been beyond amazing! They have been completely transparent with no surprise “charges” like Verizon always had. My bill is cheaper with 4 lines vs 3 lines (2 of the lines at Verizon were just basic phones-no data), now all four have data included. They’re first responder discount is awesome, I get 25% off each line at AT&T vs $10 off just my line at Verizon. I was just there again yesterday to add another line and get some accessories. Megan and Cory helped me yesterday. They truly help and don’t give a line of BS just to sell an item. The accessories are way cheaper at AT&T but yet Verizon has the same things and charges a ton more! I cannot say enough wonderful things, the transparency, the kindness, honesty, and just true genuine customer service I have received at AT&T. Verizon always made me feel like a number, but at AT&T, they remember me and do their very best to help answer any questions I may have. I’m definitely impressed with Rice Lake AT&T! They are a great and honest group of people to help their customers the best they can. Also, my service coverage better with AT&T than Verizon. I don’t cut out or lose service near as frequent as I did...
Read moreThe sales staff sucked. They kept trying to sell me a new cell phone to correct my problem Which was a Yahoo problem. It had nothing to do with the phone. But they wanted to sell me a new phone. They told me that 3 to 4 times while I was there. And then told me it was a Yahoo problem when they realized I was not going to buy a new phone. They were done with me. Doesn't anyone listen any more? I wish I would have recorded the whole conversation to play back to them. Maybe they could use it as a training tool. It's sad to see how sales driven everything is instead of understanding the customer's needs and listening to the customer. All they care about is the sale. In my eyes I think all the stores are the same. They all want you to plop down $1,000 on a new phone every time there's a little glitch that they can't figure out thinking it will solve the problem. Everyone has that kind of money for a new phone every time you have a problem? Thanks for reading this boring review on...
