Augsburg Adventure Park — Attraction in Richfield

This is a super fantastic, fun, thoughtful park with a variety of interesting and creative features. So why the 4-star review? There are very sharp, jagged rocks throughout the playground. They serve as benches or dividers and look cool, but they are dangerous. For any park, these pose a hazard to children running and falling. But for this park specifically, this was a poor choice. The Augsburg Adventure Park is designed to be a fun and safe place for all children, including those with disabilities. For some children, walking and running is more challenging. Perhaps there are struggles with coordination. If I had a child with a disability making large motor coordination more challenging, I would be especially concerned. I am nervous for my kids. What a wonderful park! This is brand new park that is so amazing! It is a sensory certified inclusive playground with separate sections of the park for different levels of play, abilities, and experiences.

There are so many fun things here! This was my first time seeing a wheelchair accessible merrry go round at a park! I am so impressed with the thought and planning of this park.

The Augsburg Adventure Park playground features rubber surfacing, accessible swings, including a zip line, 10-person accessible whirl, play structure ramps that allow for users to get 72 inches off the ground, ground-level musical instruments and a multi-user team swing.

This is such a great park! Glad to have found this gem! The park itself is lightly wooded, tons of grassy hills, and has nice places to walk or sit, but the playground is the best feature! It is a great play space for kids of all ages, (and abilities)! It has tall slides and short sides, covered slides and open slides, all sorts of places to walk and run, tons of things to climb, spinny rides, swings, gliders, and more!
