VFW Post 5555 — Local services in Richfield

I stopped in for karaoke with an old friend and didn't have a great time. Pros: the bartender, karaoke host, and patrons were nice and friendly. The location was clean. Cons: the parking lot was cramped and difficult to maneuver, the dining area was closed and all the patrons were packed into the small bar area which made it difficult to get around, they stopped serving food at 8pm except pizza which wasn't thoroughly cooked, and the inept karaoke host put his mouth directly onto the microphone which he then handed off to the different singers (GROSS). If I could suggest a couple of things: Open up part of the dining area so it's not so squished. Keep the kitchen open until 10 pm. Doesn't look like a typical VFW (Early 70's, wood paneling and dark). This looks more like a budget golf clubhouse. i had their club sandwich. It came out quickly (as expected) and was delicious. The crew and staff are pleasant. The main parking is small, but I asked and confirmed: you can park on the side streets in the back parking ramp (thst belongs to the apartments next door), or there is a parking ramp about 1/2 block away (to the northwest), which I could not see from the street but confirmed via google maps satellite view. We showed up 1.5 hours before bingo started and 30 minutes before breakfast ended, we sat in the "restaurant" area. At the time there were 3 other tables seated with 4 waitstaff running around. It started filling up after about 15 minutes, and we were not so much as acknowledged. Fast forward to just after breakfast ended the waitress asked us what we wanted. We asked if we could still get breakfast, and she said no, only drinks - but there were hotdogs for sale. In general, avoid unless you are already an established patron.
