There were highlights and mediocre moments in terms of the food taste, but I do think that overall this is a very good neighborhood gem to grab a bite on a day that one needs relaxation, especially with a boba shop right next door. I have been here twice, both on impromptu occasions, and both times have confirmed my impression of this spot as a neighborhood gem like I had previously mentioned.
Majority of the highlights are with the main dishes like the abura soba, the chicken curry, and the sukiyaki don. They contained sufficient ingredients and good seasoning, and had enough ingredients on the side on the table to add to the dishes. I personally added more chili oil into the abura soba. The sukiyaki don needed a bit more taste in the rice, but the beef was very flavorful.
In terms of the small plates, most of them leaned towards mediocre, which meant that they tasted pretty standard, such as the karaage and the kaki fry. For those that crave for them specifically, I definitely think these dishes are worth getting. I just don't think one should get them if they're trying to go for a "best" or even the "better" dishes within the establishment. The only item I was more critical about was the agedashi tofu, which was very soggy and tasted too plain. It didn't seem like a lot of effort was put into it.
With all that said, though, I will probably return here because it's very effective at resolving a craving and a quick bite. I am also happy about the fact that it's in Richfield because the community can benefit...

beautiful restaurant 2 big 10 person party tables nice booths space for solo ramen
great unique options for Minnesota
Food overall is pretty good! but I would like to try some of their others things curry noodles were amazing and would get again (they have a much lighter flavor than normal Japanese curry, but I liked that, and the chicken was great) spicy tonkatsu ramen was great overall and very aesthetically pleasing. Only criticism I would have is that the tonkatsu itself might need a bit more spices / salt on it
Things to improve: gyoza were kinda cold in the middle, but still tasted quite good edamame was more cooked than I am used to. Not sure I like it that way
service was very nice overall
Overall:

ย ย ย Read moreI give this a 3.5. we tried the original aburasoba(soupless ramen), takoyaki and the Tonkatsu Ramen. The takoyaki was delicious, cooked perfectly. The outside was nice and crispy while the inside was nice and fluffy. The aburasoba was the star. I have never tried it but was impressed. make sure you mix this up before you eat it, there are directions. I tried it without mixing and it was bland, but after combining everything it was so delicious. The noodles were nice and chewy, the sauce that they add to the bottom elevated the whole dish. I thought the chashu was a little dry but it still tasted delicious. The Tonkatsu Ramen to put it bluntly was not good at all. It was very bland and the noodles did not work well, they should have had the aburasoba noodles instead. We didn't try the other ramen they had to offer maybe those would be better. But don't get the Tonkatsu Ramen, unless you want to be disappointed. I loved the aburasoba and will be...
