Lisa Salon Concepts — Attraction in Richfield

The review might be a bit lengthy but please take time to read this. I will write every detail of what happened to me. I was at this salon couple of weeks back for my hair straightening. My appointment was at 11 am. I was 5-6 minutes late as I live a little far from the salon. When I made my appointment, I was told the price would be $275 plus $60 for each additional hour. The hairstylist started to cut my hair and then began with the treatment. She was kind of mad at me as my hair was very wavy but that's why I went for the straightening. She was also arguing with me that I'd colored my hair which I already told her over the phone while making the appointment that I colored 5 months back. If she would've suggested it, I would not straighten my hair, I wouldn't force her to do it. Then after she applied the straightening cream, she said she would need to use a more stronger formula as my hair looked really curly to her. Then she applied a stronger formula. Then she did the other process. After the final process, it should just have been washing my hair and blow-drying it. At this time, it was almost 2:30 pm which was exactly 2 and half hours and should have been $275 but she again flat-ironed it to which I was surprised because that's the whole point of doing permanent hair straightening that you don't have to use a flat iron to straighten it after you wash your hair. That's how it is in all other salons. I have done hair straightening a couple of times before as well so I know the process. Otherwise, who would spend almost 400 bucks? So I realized later that she was buying more time so that she could charge me more money. The process was technically finished at 2:30 but she flat ironed my hair again and cut my hair again which took 1 more hour and she charged me $380.

Now the worst part, after all this hassle, my hair is still wavy (not at all straight). It is so damaged and broken from the roots (feels like a brush on the roots). My hair lost volume. It was really thick but now it's very thin. I even tried calling her a couple of times. At first, she told me to send pictures which I did send but I never got any response back. I even tried calling her after that to ask what can be done to fix my situation but she would either miss the call or disconnect the call once she hears my voice. I don't know about other services here but for the hair straightening, I would definitely not recommend it. I feel so cheated. And I spent so much money...

I got my first permanent hair straightening done last year Jan 2015 with Lisa and she did a fabulous job. I was very happy with the shiny and straight hair. So I also did it a second time July 2016 and she did an equally fabulous job. I am going to keep coming.

I had previously done permanent straightening in Sri Lanka about eight years ago. The first time I got the same nice result like I got with Lisa but the final time I did it at a different salon and my hair got damaged. I explained to Lisa my concerns and fears due to a previous bad experience but she immediately put my fears to rest. She studied my hair and gave me honest feedback. So by offering me the service here which I have not been able to find at other salons she saved me a trip to Sri Lanka.

This time around I also got a haircut and she impressed me yet again. Thank you Lisa. I plan to come again. Keep doing your great...
