So I usually get my plants from Lowes. This year, they didn't seem to have a great variety, so I Googled, "best plant nurseries for variety," in St. Louis. Low and behold Garden Heights was in the first top 5. So I read a few reviews(all positive), and I decided to make that trip. Upon arrival, the first thing I noticed was the quick turn onto the parking lot from BigBen. There's just one way in, one way out. The lot isn't huge. However, it was quick and convenient, even for it being busy. Ppl were coming in and getting what that needed and immediately opening up more space for other ppl to park. Again, strangely, it worked out fine. Moving on, once parked, I started my journey. There was such a variety of plants, trees, shrubs, etc. I knew I'd find something that I liked. I ran into an employee named Jack. Super helpful, and he had a knack for humorous sarcasm. Lol. I pulled a couple of plants from under the shady area and asked Jack if they would do well in half sun and half shade. Jack asked me if I got the plants I had from under the "shady area," and I replied, "Yes." His sarcasm was undeniable🤣🤣🤣 it was too funny. He was a good ol' chum, I might say. Everyone I interacted with at Garden Heights was wonderful. Someone takes customer service seriously at that place. I love that. In closing, I'm posting a few pictures of "the ladies" for your viewing pleasure. The planters I used are harvest style Asiano wood. They are absolutely gorgeous, and the plants I purchased at Garden Heights complement them wonderfully. So get out this weekend and go check them out! Tell em BigBen sent ya! Cheers! PS. Make sure you actually click on the pictures to see the full picture. If not, they look cut off. So I'm posting "The Ladies" recent pictures after about 3weeks (5/31 today date) since purchasing and re-potting. Just in time for Memorial Day. They look amazing! 🤩

As a self proclaimed "crazy plant lady" the discovery of this place was a mixed blessing. The selection was enormous, consisting of a wide variety of both indoor and outdoor plants. The indoor plant selection was remarkable, including unique variations of widely popular indoor plants. I even found two "thai constellation" Monstera's. I had to refrain myself. I didn't explore the outdoor section as much because I don't have room for much outdoor landscaping. They had immature, as well as mature plants to choose from. The selection of pottery was unique and exciting. They had a small selection of air plants as well. Staff gave me my space to browse, but were quick with answers, and, very helpful. I loved that the plants include a description of care for improved outcomes at home.

Absolutely stunning plants. We've been coming here for years. Service and selection are outstanding. Plants are WELL taken care care of & are on par for quality with places such as the Botanical Gardens. The nursery is a fountain of inspiration. Seasonal decor, decorative pots and a massive tree display offer fresh perspectives and ideas for your home garden. They have starter vegetable plants in the spring. There's an indoor selection of orchids, air plants and succulents as well! I can't say enough about the helpfulness & friendliness of the staff. We have always been greeted and offered friendly advice. This truly is a one of a kind nursery.

I never ever write reviews, however I felt the need to do so with this establishment.

I regret to share my EXTREMELY disappointing experience with Garden Heights Nursery. Upon bringing home a plant from this plant shop, I was horrified to discover that it came with a SEVERE infestation of millipedes and gnats. This unfortunate situation resulted in an unexpected invasion of insects into my home, creating a distressing and unsanitary environment. Countless gnats on my window sill, in my refrigerator, air fryer, dishwasher machine, all over my walls, I would find them in my food & water, many millipedes crawling all over my floors. Too many to count, everywhere. After many deep cleaning sessions of my entire apartment, the pest problem still persisted.

The worst of it all: I visited the nursery to seek assistance and guidance on how to address the pest problem. Regrettably, my attempts to communicate were met with a response that left me utterly disheartened. I was informed that they were too busy to assist me, which left me feeling unsupported & unheard. One specific staff member had a callous attitude towards my concern, which made me feel as though I was being a nuisance to her.

As a new customer who was excited about purchasing their first plant, I expected a certain level of care and quality from this place. I found it disheartening that my plea for help was brushed aside. The lack of willingness to address the issue only compounded my frustration, & I cannot help but question the nursery's commitment to customer satisfaction.

Since they would not offer any help, I took it upon myself to inspect the soil & roots. I found a large mixture of gnats & millipedes. After repotting and thoroughly cleaning out my pot, they came back immediately. After many attempts to save my plant, I ultimately decided to toss my plant. After doing so, the pest problem subsided.

I understand that businesses may experience busy periods, but it is crucial to prioritize customer concerns, especially when they involve the health and well-being of the customers and their homes. My intention in sharing this experience is to caution potential customers who may be considering a purchase from Garden Heights. I URGE you to think twice before making a decision, as my encounter suggests that their level of customer care may not meet your expectations. It certainly did not meet mine.

I strongly encourage Garden Heights to reflect upon their practices and prioritize the well-being of their customers. I hope that they take proactive measures to inspect the quality of their plants rigorously and adopt a more responsive and customer-centric approach.

As a result, my encounter with this shop has left me disappointed and dissatisfied. I would NEVER visit this establishment again, & would not recommend it to anyone interested in plants. I'm hoping that my feedback prompts positive changes in their approach to customer service and quality assurance. Plant lovers, please proceed with caution and consider exploring other options for your...

Wow. What poor service. I never write reviews but feel the need to for a specific worker at this place. There’s a lady named Marisa who I believe is one of the managers. She’s a gingi which gives more of an explanation to her fiery attitude. She in my opinion is one of the worst and unpleasant people to work with. She has such an attitude, is arrogant, and rude. She really needs an attitude check or to get out of there because she caused the store to loose me as a customer, my parents and friends who have had horrible experiences with her as well. I came in on Sunday to get my plants re-potted, she seemed very bothered she had to help a customer. Any question I had she just seemed so annoyed I was asking. It was the end of day so I assumed she had just had a long day. But I was wrong! Came back today to pick up my plants and she had that same obnoxious attitude. I came in on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday late afternoon to return a plant I bought but the store closed early which wasn’t mentioned online. Marisa told me the plant (which I got from the greenhouse) was not able to be returned. So I quickly corrected her and said the website states that plants can be returned and she goes ā€œwell that’s within 48 hrsā€ (so she changed the rules) and I said I came back twice within 48 hrs and the store had closed early so I attempted and that’s on the store. She said there’s nothing we can do. So I asked to speak with someone higher up and she goes ok this one time I’ll do it. She really needs to get her story straight.

Anyways after reading many of these negative reviews I’m sure they were all speaking about Marissa without knowing her name. The store is beautiful but as my parents and friends say it’s just so not worth the bad customer service. Unfortunately Marisa really gives people such an unpleasant experience and I’d never come back here again. I just want to say, all the other woman were so sweet. Unfortunately Marissa really ruins...
