A Posey Place Hair Salon — Attraction in Richmond Hill

Deidre Daugherty is the stylist I was set up with when I booked an appointment at A Posy place salon for a full highlight and a haircut. When I first left the salon my hair looked great. My highlights were very ashy blond and just how I asked for. Two days later I wash my hair at home and my hair looks completely different. It looked extremely yellow and brassy. The back of my hair and ends were extremely dark and there were no highlights placed in those areas. It looked nothing liked I asked for. I call and went in to see Deidre so my hair could be fixed because I was extremely dissatisfied with how it was. Right away she was extremely rude to me and had a very bad attitude. Not only was she being very aggressive she was yelling at me in the salon. Instead of trying to resolve the problem she acted unprofessional and would not work with me to fix what she had created. I ended up leaving the salon extremely upset because I could not take her aggressive behavior towards me in her unwillingness to make me a happy client. When I called back the salon to speak to the owner she was non-apologetic and could care less how I feel about my hair and the way I was treated in her salon. I asked for a refund so then I was forwarded to Deidre who refused to once again resolve the problem. She had a bad attitude and was yelling at me on the phone. She refused to give me a refund. Neither Deidre or the salon owner were apologetic. Now I have to go to another salon to have them fix what Deidre did. I did not ask for horrible brassy highlights with dark ends and the back of my hair to be dark. The poor behavior of the salon owner and Deidre Daugherty was extremely unprofessional and upsetting. She clearly doesn’t know how to do full highlight correctly and should be terminated. Now I have to take action in other ways since neither of them want to cooperate. I would never recommend anyone go to this salon. No one should have to go in for a service and get treated so poorly and be spoken to so aggressively. I absolutely cannot say how much I love this place. I have been so afraid of getting my hair cut to the point that I avoided it for five years--and I had previously been bad at getting trims since somewhere in grade school, so my hair was ridiculously long. I walked in scared, but I knew I wanted it short and I wanted it dyed.

Shanetra did such an amazing job that I am without words. She knew exactly where to stop so that it complimented my face and neck, and she dyed it with a color that I simply can't get beyond how beautiful it is. Even now I'm having such an easy time styling it with how she cut it over how it used to be despite my zero experience with hair, and I allowed myself to splurge on the products she used--A++ quality there, too!

The salon itself has a very calming and nice interior but the people are what make it; I most definitely will come back to keep my hair...

So I’m new to the area... just moved to RH a month ago. I went to A Posey Place not knowing what to expect but I must confess that I was pleasantly surprised. The place itself took me back to my first hair stylist back in TX and I was in love!! I haven’t touched my hair in years so figured I’d try something new. To be honest the end result was NOT what I had hoped for. Lizzy was my stylist and although she is new to the industry she is being guided by Michelle. On Friday I walked out a little heart broken but hopeful since I would be returning Saturday morning to add toner to bring the color I never knew I wanted to my hair.
