Worst hotel stay I had ever experienced. I was headed to Florida with my partner to go to her family's house but had to stay near Savannah for a bit due to Hurricane Ian going through where her family lives. During my stay there was a large spider I wanted help removing since I did not want to scare my partner as she has a very intense fear of spiders. I requested room service around noon and was told they would be there soon but they did not arrive at all. Towards the end of my visit, I woke up to a bed bug crawling on me at 5:30 in the morning. I woke up my partner and found at least 7 bed bug bites on her right arm. As I was packing my belongings, there was a roach I saw and it crawled into my wallet and I had to shoo it away. I had to inspect my other belongings to make sure they were bug free. I then immediately checked for other bugs and found dead bugs near the nightstand and in the carpet. After I checked out early, I noticed 4 bed bug bites on my left leg the next day aa my body tends to react slower to bed bug bites (I've had them years ago in high school and my body reacted slower to bites then as well). I complained to the front desk about finding bed bugs and I asked if its possible to get a refund for the rest of the nights as I wanted to leave. Their only response to that was informing me about room service not arriving until 11 in the morning. I called Expedia and asked them about my options and they told me they would contact the hotel about it. I had to call back and forth between the front desk and Expedia. I was told I would be refunded $103 for the two nights I was not staying after early check out. I also requested a refund for a future 4 night weekend stay ($317) I had booked for the following week. I was told by Expedia I would have to talk to the hotel about it. I went to the front desk and they told me that I would have to e-mail the manager. I sent the manager an e-mail a few hours later explaining everything that happened and I still have not gotten a response. The hotel called me the morning after I checked out to tell me they did not get approval from Expedia to give me a refund when the day before, both Expedia and the hotel told me I would be getting a $103 refund for the rest of that stay. I have tried calling them later during the early evening and the phone kept ringing so I tried multiple times and got no answers for a half hour straight. I'm avoiding any Days Inn locations from here on out,...
Read moreAbsolutely the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. I made the HUGE mistake of reading the reviews as I was sitting in the actual hotel room the evening of our stay. I assumed people were exaggerating and they were NOT. The bathroom was literally crawling with cock roaches, German cock roaches. When we peeled back the sheets there were live centipedes in our beds!!!! My son woke up in the morning with huge, angry, red, swollen and itchy bug bites all over his body and this was AFTER sleeping on top of the comforter. The bathroom door was so warped it wouldn’t close and the front door neither shut nor locked properly. The property itself looks like either a past crime scene or one waiting to happen, so the front door not locking was particularly scary. After reading the reviews I knew it would be a waste of time to ask for a refund. We had driven over 12 hours that day and I just wanted to get this hotel stay nightmare over and done with. We pushed the desk and chair up against the door and I used a cord from my car to secure the door as best I could. I read one review stating “what do you expect from a 2 star hotel….? A butler?” Nope, certainly not but I DO expect a clean and SAFE room that’s devoid of roaches and spiders and other creepy crawlers in our beds!!! The only reason I chose this place was because of the Wyndham name attached and boy was that a complete fail. I want my money back but apparently they won’t accommodate that so this review is the best I can do. This will be yet ANOTHER review of this hotel that speaks about roaches and bugs. PLEASE do yourself a favor and steer clear of this crap hole. Spend the extra $30 and stay somewhere decent without a bug infestation and faulty door locks…. I also think it’s funny how the owner or whoever is in charge replies to every review, giving thanks for letting them know how terrible this place is and how with THIS review, they can try to make it better, Lol! Riiiiight! Like you don’t already know this place needs a complete over haul/maintenance and a serious, serious fumigation project. They can apologize all they like for ripping people off on a dirty and unsafe stay but that doesn’t change how terrible a night in this place really is. It’s disgusting “upkeep” and even worse business practices. Stay away!!! You’d be better off sleeping in your car,...
Read moreMy family four had to travel down from Atlanta because a family member was in the hospital. This trip was booked through Expedia last minute we arrived at the hotel and to say the hotel was trashy is the world‘s biggest understatement however because of the situation, we were OK with the hotel we would only be there for a few days before heading back home However, the longer we were there the more we realized just how unsanitary this place was. As I previously stated, we are a family of four and the hotel room, we found only two towels for us to use and taking our nightly showers. My husband went up to the office and he was able to get one more. We woke up the next day we went about our business, taking care of our family member we arrived back that evening, and our room had not been cleaned. No more towels have been given to us. We went back up to the office to ask for more towels and they brought us one. They said that was the only towel that they had the next day we woke up went to go take care of our family. Member came back that night. Our room had still had not been cleaned and we still did not have towels. My husband actually had to cut up a pair of his own sweatpants so that my children would have a wash rag. He went back up to the office to try to get more towels. They supplied him with three hand towels for all four of us to take Showers with. There was discoloration on the floor in the bathroom on the walls. A mirror was broken. The sheets were so worn that they were see-through. There were white stains all over the curtains that hung in the hotel room. When the sun came up you could see the light shining through the cracks in the door. Inside the refrigerator there is a freezer section in a mini fridge and there was brown sticky something in the freezer part of the mini fridge. Do not stay...
