Third time eating at this location. The first two times were fine- this third one will probably be my last. Placed a pickup order for my colleagues and I. Took almost an hour to receive the text alerting me that food was ready. I actually left to pick up the food before receiving it in the hopes that maybe the food was ready (the text came during my 5-minute drive to the restaurant). When I arrived, no one acknowledged my presence, but someone eventually said they'd be with me after about 4 minutes. I finally got my food and drove back to work. My colleagues and I immediately opened the food and were so disappointed to find that our food was very cold. Stale, cold, dried out fries all around. One colleague's cheesesteak was so cold that the cheese had solidified and wouldn't release the sandwich from its to-go container, and the roll was soggy. My other colleague's po'boy looked sad, with five pathetically small, cold, not-crunchy, overcooked shrimp on a roll with wilted lettuce and mealy tomato slices drowned in remoulade. My meal of the shrimp platter was no better- eight tiny, stale, cold, greasy, overcooked shrimp, that had no crunch and tasted like old fryer oil (you can tell by how dark they are in the picture), some room temperature tartar sauce, and room temperature, bland slaw, and the same sad, cold fries as my co-workers. Incredibly disappointed in the food. In my pictures you can see how overcooked the tiny shrimp are by how aggressively curled they were. The fact that everything was so cold tells me the food was probably long finished before they remembered to text me. $50 worth of food and none of us enjoyed our meals. So disappointed.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ On a recent trip back from Savannah, GA, my family and I had the pleasure of stopping by The 5 Spot in Richmond Hill, and it turned out to be a delightful culinary experience. Nestled conveniently along our route, this gem offered us a perfect pit stop to unwind and enjoy some fantastic food. Fish and Chips Meal: The fish and chips were outstanding! The fish was perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, paired with golden, crunchy fries that complemented the dish superbly. It’s clear that they use fresh ingredients and take great care in their preparation. Shrimp Meal: The shrimp meal was equally impressive. The shrimp were succulent, seasoned to perfection, and cooked just right. The accompanying sides were flavorful and well-balanced, enhancing the overall dining experience. What truly stood out to us, beyond the delicious food, was the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. The decor was charming, with a cozy and inviting vibe that made our visit even more enjoyable. If you’re ever passing through Richmond Hill or looking for a great place to eat near Savannah, I highly recommend The 5 Spot. It’s a wonderful spot for a meal that combines great taste, quality service, and a pleasant environment. We’ll definitely be back on our next trip!

My wife and I just found this place by accident, so we had no expectations one way or the other. We were pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere. One of the corporate managers met us at the door and seated us. He was very nice. We ordered the Flash Fried Brussel Sprouts appetizer. The flavor was great, but it was a little oily. I mentioned that to a staff member who was eating nearby. Turns out, she was the kitchen manager. She said to order it with "light pesto" to cut down on the oil. I think I'll ask for it on the side next time. My wife order the fried shrimp. The light crust was perfect and did not over power the delicate flavor of the shrimp. She also got sweet potato waffle fries. They were cut much finer than Chick-fil-A's waffle fries, which made them delightfully crispy and crunchy. Anyplace I go that has Shrimp & Grits on the menu has my attention. Shrimp & Grits is made differently at every restaurant, so I have to try every variation. The 5 Spot version was excellent, with very cheesy grits and topped with collard greens, providing some extra texture to the mix. Overall, a great experience. I will definately be back.

The place has huge potential. The food would have been a 3 star but the sweet potato fries saved it so I made it 4. I would not recommend the the hot honey chicken. The hot honey chicken sandwich was difficult to eat due to amount of slaw, honey, sauce, etc. the slaw should be on top of the chicken breast (which was small) as the “slaw sauce” makes the bottom bun very soggy. There was zero honey flavor and zero heat. Overall was disappointed in it but I did finish it.

It was Valentine’s Day so I’ll give them that it was busy. Our waitress was very friendly, young and obviously still learning so I’ll give her 5 stars because she definitely giving it her all - I believe her name was Kaitlyn or Kaylynn? It did take about 20 minutes to get my beer. I’ll chalk that up to it being busy also. I’ll go back and try other things for sure as my coworkers were definitely impressed with their food.

I will say 109% the collard greens / bacon dip and the fried green tomatoes (goat cheese crumbles and remoulade topping was epic) were some of the best appetizers I’ve ever had. There were no where near enough chips with the dip, though.

Overall I’m giving it an honest 4/5 and may update on my next visit. It’s...
