Myselfies Museum — Attraction in Richmond

Please read before you book! I booked a photo shoot for my sister’s birthday on the website We drove all the way from Norfolk to get there and when we arrived it was closed. We called the number on the door and the call kept failing. One of my friends decided to text it and someone responded. We explained to him we were here for an appointment booked on the website and no one was here. He then goes on to explain this business has been shut down for months. His business associate passed they had to close it. I understand this and sympathized with him but he could not explain why we were still able to book. He asked me to stop payment on the appointment and I told him I could not it was already charged and taken I asked him if he did not receive my money who did? He stated it went to the business account but he had no access to it and wanted me to pay to a square app. He eventually got sum guy on a skateboard to slide up and open the door for us about 10 minutes after our appointment time. But the dude gave us the vibe that we weren’t even supposed to be there in the first place. We made the best of it and took our pictures and dipped. It really is a beautiful place but something about the business aspect of it is really shady and I definitely recommend calling, stopping by, or verifying it’s open before u spend any money on the website. We hosted my daughter’s Sweet Sixteen at Myselfie RVA, and it was a fantastic venue for the occasion! Kareem was very helpful in accommodating all of our requests, including renting tables and chairs and coordinating the use of the facility. Although he wasn’t present during the event, he was available through phone to streamline the entire planning process.

We really appreciated the flexibility to arrive an hour before our contract time for setup and stay up to an hour afterward for cleanup. The kitchenette area, with a sink and prep space, made it easy to serve food and cake. With around 35 guests, the space was comfortable and could have easily fit about 20 more.

One of the best features of the venue is its built-in entertainment! The creatively decorated photo booths added so much fun to the celebration and were a hit with all the guests. Everyone had a wonderful time, and the party was a great success.

There were a couple of minor things we worked around, like cleaning the tables ourselves and bringing items like trash bags and toilet paper, as they weren’t available onsite. These were small adjustments and didn’t overshadow the overall experience, but having those items provided could make things even more convenient in the future.
