I have patronized this business for many years and did so again in December 2024 to support a black business. I had six pair of earrings that I wanted repaired. It took 4 months to get five pairs of earrings back from the jeweler. The other pair was "not ready" I was told each time I called. I had purchased this pair of earrings in November of 2024 and brough them to Waller in December after the post fell off. When I called Waller's about this last pair, I was told that they would "check on it" and each time NOONE called me back. After a few months of this cycle with no ETA in sight, I informed them that I would be coming into the store in person to pick up my property - even if it was not fixed. It turns out that the repair person works offsite at his home (this was not disclosed to me when I dropped off my property) and broke my earrings while trying to solder the pin to the earring. Waller admitted that they had ordered another pair of earrings "from overseas" to replace mine. It is clear that the intent was to try to replace my earrings without my knowledge with a pair that was probably lower quality. I was told that the pair was ordered two months ago and would be in soon. This was over a month ago. Since then I have received no call - no communication whatsoever from this business. This is the most disappointing part of my story as it is clear that they do not care about their customers at all. Waller's is still holding my broken earrings hostage and has neither replaced them nor offered me compensation for them. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Shame on me for doing business with them. Never again!

When I asked where it was I was told that it was still at the jewelers. I was told that they were now ordering a replacement from the place where it was purchased. Wait - I thought it had been ordered already was was coming from overseas.... The most disappointing part of my story as it is clear that they do not care about their customers at all. I told the gentleman that I wanted my property brough to the shop immediately so that I could document the damage for myself. Waller's is still holding my earrings hostage and has neither replaced them nor offered me compensation for them. When I went back I was told that I would receive a call when the jeweler brought it in. At this point it feels like theft - since Waller's refuses to return or replace my property!
Shame on me for doing business with them....
Read moreI had the most pleasant experience with David/Waller Jewelers. This place is a hidden GEM in the heart of downtown Richmond with a lengthy history. I went in to purchase a Greek Paraphernalia Crossing Gift 5 minutes before closing time. David was so gracious and didn’t rush me in making my selections. They had a nice variety of items ranging in price from Greek jewelry, sweatshirts, crossbody bags, desk clocks, tshirts, umbrellas, bomber jackets, line jackets, car head rest covers, license plate covers, car door light that displays the shield, to hats, lanyards, bracelets, lapel pins, pens, cups, keychains, water bottles, bumper stickers, etc. It’s actually a multi-generational black family owned jewelry store, so the paraphernalia was a BONUS. I was very pleased with my purchases and would definitely recommend it to those in the area. Consider having a jewelry piece custom made while you’re there. The customer service was EXCEPTIONAL. There’s not many places like this around anymore. It was a very personalized experience. Definitely...
Read moreWhat a wonderful experience! I went in to get a Delta Sigma Theta ring for a brand new Soror. David Waller was so accommodating and knowledgeable. I was able to find the exact ring in the exact size that I was looking for. No only that, there was so much stock in there, I could have shopped day for me and her. It took no time at all, I was amazed at the quality of the ring an the other purchase I made. I was even able to scope out some gifts for MYSELF for Christmas. I told my Sorors at the event that they have to make a trip to Richmond just to go to Waller & Company because all of their shopping needs for "nailia" will be met!
Cherry on top - everything was VERY REASONABLY PRICED! Best...
