We just finished having our counter installed by Marble dot com, and i have to say i cant believe these people have a 4 out of 5 star rating. I've never dealt with a more disorganized, uninformative, unprofessional, rude GC. honestly, i wish i would have just went with home depot, there prices were almost the same. it would have been worth it to avoid the aggravation these clowns caused. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. below is a list of issues we had while trying to deal with this company:
We scheduled an appointment for measurement. When the tech arrived he was shocked to see that we did not have the sink disconnected, as he was supposed to be removing the counter tops that day. Of course, no one in the store made any mention that we needed to have this done, nor would we have agreed to have been without counter tops or a sink for over a week. Ridiculous.
Once measurements were taken, the showroom staff was supposed to send us an email photo of our stone, no photo was ever sent and i had to leave work in order to confirm our pick.
THE INSTALL WAS DONE POORLY LEAVING A LARGE AMOUNT OF LIPPAGE ON THE SEAM OF OUR BACK SPLASH, THIS COULD BE SEEN ACROSS THE ROOM. (I HAVE PHOTOS AND VIDEOS OF THE JOB THEY DID IF ANYONE WOULD LIKE TO SEE THE QUALITY OF THIS PLACES WORK. JUST ASK).
once a appointment was made to have the crew return to fix the install job, no one showed up! NO CALL NO SHOW. I even got a confirmation the day before and left work specifically to get home to let them into the house. completely unacceptable.
After making ANOTHER appointment, which was SPECIFICALLY SCHEDULED BETWEEN 5pm and 6PM (so i wouldn't have to take off work to accommodate them again) to have the crew return to fix there mistake, which again i received a confirmation for, the crew showed up at 4pm (of course before i got home from work), If my wife hadn't been home sick from work, no one would have been there, and we wouldnt have even known they came . Again no call to ask if they can come early, just show up.
When i complained to the staff, no one seemed to care one way or the other. It was enraging.
TERRIBLE STAFF,...
Read moreWe have ordered countertop via internet and received counter top has a huge crack, they said the original stone has the crack and do not accept replace or cash back. I didn’t expect the cracked stone was chosen without notice. I'm really not sure if this is normal but I was so disappointed. And our kitchen renovation has not finished before Charismas this is very sad. I really regret having chosen this company. I would give 0 star.
I have tried to contact customer support many times but they have never responded to me, my counter is not fixed yet, It’s been already 3 months no progress my project. Also I have written reviews on their site that was soon After deleted, they have completely concealed my case.
Additionally I checked other marble company has return and exchange policy but I surprised this company doesn’t have return or exchange policy. I strongly recommend to go NJ to see the original stone and check details for avoiding any trouble like me. I have to report “better business bureau” for improving their business.
I feel strange and wondering why other customer give five stars for this company, and trying to difference between other customers, I ordered via online and never seen original stone, I feel got trap they trying to provide cracked stone for like me who orders via internet since We can’t...
Read moreI went with a friend here a few years ago when she bought granite for her kitchen counter. They required cash (no checks) up front in full, before even coming to the house. This seemed a little unusual, and it was scary for her because she would have had no recourse if she was not happy with the installation. Fortunately the installation worked out ok. When we were at the store it was confusing to make a decision because no one was there to really help you, there are hundreds of things there and you're basically on your own. Now I'm doing my counters, saw the review below about Cash up front, which reminded me of my neighbor's experience, and went yesterday to another place. It felt a lot easier trust the new place, I felt listened to, and I quickly learned what I needed to know to think through a decision I feel comfortable with. They have not made the installation yet, but I know they take a check and the remainder payment is not due until the installation is complete. That seems like the normal way to do business. If you want to compare price and quality of a stone you like but from different stores, and you go there, make sure to get the name of the stone you are interested in, not...
