This is our first time visiting. Usually we try to avoid Roanoke due to the massive crowds and lack of parking. But, after finding this place, I really don't think I care about that! First off, we found out that kids eat free here on sunday. Huge bonus! We dined here to celebrate my mother's 70th birthday with a nice lunch. The wine was a Pinot Grigio from italy, very decently priced. It was not a knockout, yet it was not generically sweet and went very well with the food. All of the entrees were decently priced. The salmon entree was incredible, and the chicken Arrabiata had just enough spice. They have create your own pizza and pasta. My wife chose to create her own pizza which was filled with very good pesto sauce, and the thin crust was very delicious. Had cannolo Siciliano for dessert. This most certainly was homemade, not out of a box, and extremely delicious! A very nice touch, dessert was complimentary. Honestly, I think the kids eat free options for Sunday will keep us coming back here particularly on Sundays, as it is a nice touch although really not just "down the street for a casual lunch"...it's a good solid 30 minutes from Fossil Creek with no traffic. I would like the wine list to be a little broader especially with regard to white wines. They had some pretty good red wines for us winos, but it is definitely a Kendall Jackson heavy list including Kendall Jackson's Italian label (Tenuta Arceno) but Arceno is very well made.

***I'm pretty stingy with my five stars so if you see a four star, it's only bc I feel like I've eaten some "life- changing" local food and I want to reserve those for those experiences. Inzo, in the lovely town square atmosphere of Roanoke, was trendy yet warm and the service was truly impeccable. I wanted to LOVE the lobster ravioli, but I only liked it a lot. If there were a half star, I'd give that too. At our table we had the kid's pizza which was huge and very tasty in its own right. We had a meat calzone which had generous filling and the dough was deliciously toasted. We also had the chicken fiorentino and my son said it was very good. The complimentary fresh bread was warm, soft and soaked up the olive oil and balsamic vinaigrette very nicely for a very peppy bite that wasn't too filling. For dessert we ordered the creme brulee and chocolate beyond reason cake. The creme brulee's caramelized sugar top was thicker than the thin glass I've had in other places, but I liked the heartier, chewier bite. The chocolate beyond reason cake is not as overwhelmingly decadent as it sounds. It was just the right amount of decadent! Will definitely come back to try some of the other dishes that looked amazing on the menu.

A family run Italian place in downtown Roanoke, Inzo's offers plenty of favorites done very well. They'll start you off with some warm and soft bread, plus butter and dipping oils to whet the appetite. Their menu is quite large, and plenty of salads, appetizers, and mains are accounted for. We had the chicken parmigiana, blackened chicken alfredo, and lasagna ; of the 3, only the lasagna disappointed, as it tasted (and appeared):as if it had been prepared long before the order and reheated. The other two were delicious, with the Parm being a standout - pounded flat, crispy breading, mozzarella and marinara sauce, side of spaghetti and tomato sauce. I love that Inzo's does not drown their mains in sauce, as it is there to complement the dish, not overwhelm it. Cozy dining space, which almost made us reconsider eating indoors - it was full, and distancing was barely evident. Sidenote - there's a fun, free photo booth near the host station for a nice souvenir of your visit to Inzo's. It's definitely worth a visit - just come hungry!

UPDATE 3/5/23: Had to provide an update as Taryn and the staff at Inzo absolutely knocked it out of the park today! Inzo has become one of our go-to places in Roanoke - we've taken friends and family multiple times and each time we do, they can't believe they didn't know about this place. That brings me to today - we decided to have our church small group lunch at Inzo. We're talking about a large party - 25 people! Multiple families, some with kids, some without; all of us sitting in different spots in one area of the restaurant (they had the entire booth wall dedicated to us!). Not only did Taryn and the team provide exceptional service, they went above and beyond by accommodating all of the various requests. Every single order was correct, every single one was delicious, and every one in our small group left happy and understood why we love this place so much. That doesn't happen without Taryn, Mama (we love mama!), and the rest of the staff there taking such good care of us. Inzo is an absolute gem with an incredible staff. Taryn, if you see this, know you are an absolute rockstar and made today that much more special for us - thanks again!

So my kids were craving Fettucine Alfredo and as we're looking up Italian restaurants, we come across Inzo Italian Kitchen and we are so glad we did! From the bread, to the appetizers, to the entrees, to the desserts - everything was so good! This is classic Italian fare, so no dishes drowned in sauce - just authentic, old fashioned goodness. Brought me back to when I'd eat at a friend's house back in the Bronx and his grandma would make homestyle Italian food - that's how good this place is. We had the calamari and mozzarella sticks for appetizers, and even my picky son ended up eating them! For entrees, my wife and I split a spinach salad and the Primavera pizza - both of them were so good! The kids obviously had the Fettucine Alfredo which they loved, and then we had both the Cannoli and Tiramisu to go. The Tiramisu is hands down some of the best I've had since moving down to the DFW area.

If you're looking for a nice spot to enjoy an authentic Italian meal, you can't go wrong with this place. We will definitely be coming back to enjoy the great food, drinks (you have to try the house sangria and limoncello martini!), and free...

Bf & I had a date night here; it's quite a bit farther than the usual places we dine in the Dallas area but it was definitely worth the drive! Inzo is located in a charming (and newly developed?) downtown area; you can't miss the restaurant, they have string light bulbs strung across the outdoor patio to give it an inviting feeling. There was no wait as we were seated inside, the table cloth is a bit cheesy but whatever, wasn't a big deal. I had a deliciously refreshing glass of Riesling while we enjoyed the prosciutto & mozzarella appetizer. I went ahead and order the shrimp scampi which was AWESOME! It wasn't ridiculously buttery but the noodles were cooked just right and a few large shrimp tails topped the dish, it was garlicy (just as I like it) and had a wonderful acidic lemon flavor to it, as well. YUM! Bf had some sort of pizza which he loved, he's not a big fan of Italian food and less of a fan for tomato sauce so it was awesome to see some sauce-less pizzas on the menu. His pizza was also great, I finished it off the next day, haha. To end our meal, we split a slice of tiramisu. Service was wonderful and I know we'll be back for more, I just wish we lived closer so I could invite my friends &...
