I recently came to this location for a bachelorette party and had a group of about 15! My expectations were incredibly let down by AR Rochester. To begin, none of us girls had been there before or knew what we were doing yet the staff just sort of expected us to do our projects with little to no guidance. I let that one go. After I finished my project and came home my boyfriend pointed out to me that one of the words was misspelt on my project. I used a stencil that AR provided so I wasn’t thinking that they’d give me something that was misspelt. I contacted them and told them what happened & asked for my money back given that I paid $100 for a board I can’t even use. After taking a while to get back to me they stated just to bring it in & they’d fix it. I said fine & let that go too.
The reason I’m giving this business 2 stars is the customer service & the quality of the project. Each time I walked in (to drop off & pick up my project) the staff looked right at me & instead of coming up to the desk to help a customer, ignored me & went back to what they were doing which was incredibly rude. The legs on this $100 project are also falling off. At the end of the day I am just disappointed. Next time I’ll just go to crate & barrel & spend $100 on a better cheese board rather than one that’s falling apart. Needless to say I...
Read moreMy almost 7 year old art loving daughter attended the Little Crafters morning camp at AR workshop. This was our first experience here. The camp ran for 2.5 hours for 5 days. We loved this camp for her because the class size was about a dozen campers to 3 adults so there were many hands to provide assistance with the projects. The projects she came home with were really cute and actually turned out well, and we could see how proud she was of her creations. We are keeping AR Workshop on the list of Summer Camps for next year - my 9 year old is also...
Read moreMy best friend and I did the chunky blanket class and Midge was seriously so patient and one of the best teachers we have ever had in anything like this. I restarted my blanket like 3 times and midge was SO patient, she rolled up my extra yarn, allowed me take a video of her ending the blanket off so I would know how to do it when I was home, and just had a calm, non judgmental, WANTING to help in any way demeanor. I was telling her I would have loved to have had her as my teacher when in high school. She is the BEST! Ask for Midge if you decide to...
