- Purchased quartz countertop. Gave measurements. (33 x 107) Quoted price per sq ft. A few days later, up charge an additional $200 for "large piece." - Cutting Edge is doing the quartz countertop. DID NOT MEASURE wall where 9 inch overhang is. I said to Cutting Edge employee... you need 3 people for this job. - Cutting Edge comes out to install. 2 people. Cant lift and hold. I a 65 year had to help. The kids did not understand physics to lift the countertop. Had to use my tools and engineering to assist because they could not finish. - When they told me just before installing. They might scratch the wall. 😂🤣 countertop NOT cut correctly (because they did not measure) on the right side. - Damages BOTH walls and the cabinet. You would think they would only damage one wall. But the kids were weak. Could not hold countertop in the air for over 60 minutes. -Paint/drywall repair quote $425. Home Depot (Cindy I. - Customer Order Specialist) says too bad.

I Broke a Husky ratchet. Their policy and Husky's policy states "Lifetime Warranty with no questions, no receipt required". The customer service person stated she'd do it this time but it needs to be registered and their policy changed to reflect this. I stated that's not what their policy states and there isn't anywhere to register hand tools. She said something about how the manufacturer puts a life span on the part so it's not actually lifetime and if I registered it I would have gotten an additional 2-3-5yrs or whatever on top of the warranty... Huh?!?!? It was exchanged but holy moly.. lifetime warranty no questions asked literally means that. This isn't the first time returning something to this specific HD was a frustrating experience.

We had a terrible experience with Home Depot regarding our carpet order. We chose a specific carpet based on the in-store sample, but what was delivered was a noticeably cheaper version with a different texture and quality. When we called customer service, they told us that the delivered product would “always be a little different from the sample.” That’s misleading and unacceptable—customers should get what they pay for. If there are expected variations, they should be clearly disclosed before purchase. Very disappointed with both the product and the response from Home Depot. Would not recommend buying carpet from them.

Outstanding Customer Service from Wanda.

Recently, I ordered a glider from the Home Depot website. Upon pickup at the Rochester Hills, MI store, I noticed the box was torn on one corner, and the unit's leg was slightly scuffed. After unboxing, I discovered the frame was bent, likely due to forklift mishandling.

I returned to the Rochester Hills store, where I was assisted by Wanda, an exemplary customer service representative. After explaining the situation, Wanda showed genuine empathy for the inconvenience I experienced. When I expressed my desire to reorder, she suggested I place the order via my phone while she phoned Home Depot's customer service for website orders to ensure the replacement would be satisfactory.

As Wanda processed my refund for the original unit, she went above and beyond by calling Home Depot's central customer service. She meticulously explained the situation, emphasizing the extra effort required on my part – from pickup to unpacking, repacking, and returning the damaged item. Wanda's primary concern was preventing a similar occurrence and arranging for the new glider to be shipped directly to my home.

Although express shipping wasn't possible, Wanda's persistence resulted in a price adjustment that wouldn't have been offered without her excellent advocacy. Impressively, even while assisting me and navigating on-hold times on the phone, Wanda efficiently multitasked, helping other customers in the store.

Wanda exemplifies the ideal customer service representative. Her dedication, efficiency, and genuine concern for customer satisfaction not only resolved my issue but also reinforced Home Depot's reputation for outstanding service. Employees like Wanda are the driving force behind customer loyalty, making the extra effort to shop at Home Depot worthwhile.

I purchased a new dishwasher online with delivery and installation, pretty straight forward order. The unit arrived fine with no damage but the chosen installer refused to complete the install because my water supply shut off valve was copper and he would not screw the new washer line I had bought onto the copper threads. As crazy as this seems, yes, it was as simple as screwing a fitting onto my shutoff valve. I instructed the installers via phone (I was not home at the time) to leave the appliance and I would take up the installation with the store directly. Not only did the installer not leave, but after standing there for 30 mins they called their boss who told them to complete the install which they did and left. During this time I attempted to call and after going through multiple agents I was transferred to the floor manager at the store. He did not believe the issue I was having and said he would need to call me back because he was on the floor and didn't have time to deal with my issue.

At this point I have wasted hours of my time for something which I believe to have not been a real issue because they sent a TEAM of inexperienced installers. I also have not heard back from the store manager even just to let me know the install was completed, although I am not surprised after reading some of the other reviews. I find it ridiculous that a 10 minute install which I paid over $100 for somehow turned into such a mess and I received no support from the installer or the manager. 1/5 stars, not bad to shop here but god forbid you ask for an employee to actually do the job they...

My recent store return experience, marred by the rude behavior of Sara, left a lasting negative impression. The lack of professionalism, empathy, and conflict resolution skills displayed by this particular employee significantly impacted my overall perception of the store. I hope that the management addresses these concerns and takes appropriate action to ensure that future customers do not have to endure a similar unpleasant experience.

Steve's involvement in my store return experience was truly a game-changer. His exceptional customer service skills, genuine empathy, and proactive approach transformed my frustrating encounter with Sara into a positive outcome. Steve's consistent dedication to resolving issues and going the extra mile for customers is commendable and undoubtedly sets him apart as an invaluable asset to the store. I am grateful for his assistance and hope that his exemplary behavior continues to be recognized and appreciated by both customers and management alike.

I hope management takes some action against these unpleasant and racist employees. if it is first time its like ok, but it keeps happening only certain people then what that means, never experienced this type of behavior before in any other store.
