Got there... It was my 3rd visit. Completely amazing first two visits. This time. Not only "not so much", but rather.... So, got there, sat down. Had a nice talk with Brooke about shirts, she wore a "Drink Local" shirt. Got a Bonfire. Wife had a house Cab. Both were great. Brooke's shift ended. She sat at the bar. Wrong move. Don't drink where you work. A brewery that doubles as an eatery isn't all about the beers and drinks. So, Brooke's off now. She opened our check. No word on the change in service employee. The other bartender, don't remember her name, very friendly, personable. Good start! The food comes. Caprese and meatballs. Meatballs... Actually, maybe the best for 10 miles around. What. Caprese, light. Not good enough for the price. Tasty, but light. I'll say this... Great food. Lots of people eating pizzas. They looked like they were really enjoying it. Back to it. While enjoying my Bonfire, I called the other bartender over. I said, "I've worked in a million restaurants (hopefully you get that hyperbole <- I didn't say that part out loud, but I'm wondering if I should have.)." I went on, "You know how you can buy a round of shots for the people at the bar?" She replied, "yeah." I continued, "We can't do that here. But I could give a taste of a beer to everyone. Can we do that?" She answered, "Yes " The bartender walked off. I could tell she was consulting with Brooke. That's appropriate. Who knows? Maybe the other bartender isn't clear on the OTTB policy. Brooke gets off her shift. Sits right next to us. Turns her back completely to us. Whispering. Decidedly, on her part, quietly, to be sure. At one point, I even indicated to the bartender that I'd wanted another Bonfire. No recognition of that. Looked directly at them, we both did, many times. They avoided eye contact. In fact, no recognition that we were sitting there at the bar at all from the question on. We never heard from either of them again. Fifteen minutes. Didn't look our way. Nothing, until we asked for the check. She dropped it and walked off. No words. I placed our card to pay. She took it. No words. I filled it out, as you can see. She took it. No word. Returned it. Then we left. Addressing customer requests. The appropriate thing to do would have been to not turn your back on any customer. They weren't busy. Standing around. Waiting for the next order. Not even a look in our direction. Fail. Basic human interaction. Be courteous. Fail. Talk to us... If it turned out the policy didn't support my request, tell us. But nothing. I would have bought the "tastes", but they didn't even have the opportunity to find that out. Not going back. As we were leaving, the bartender said, "Thank you for coming in." Or something similarly scripted. My wife waved, saying with that wave, "Buhbye." You know businesses can hide reviews. I hope they read this. I hope they remedy this, and leave this review up. I wish them all the best. But to get there, they're going to have to do better.

Guess what, i just found your next brewery adventure. This is the new hidden gym of Charlotte/Rock Hill breweries scene!!! The beer first....excellent, as a beer enthusiasts their stuff is excellent straightforward, and the way it should be. The pizza is excellent in flavor, although it needs to sit in the oven another 45 seconds, though, but it is still excellent. Now, as far as the vibe....PERFECT. It's just a lovely balance of food and open air and wonderful decore. Oh, and make sure you start off with their signature Cloudy Days beer, perfect for spring and summer Hazy IPA. Trust me and give it a try.

Off the tracks Brewing located in Rock Hill at 502 Cherry Road has phenomenal Pizza!!! NY style, thin crust that’s really flavorful, cooked perfectly in a Brick Pizza Oven imported from Italy. I got Pepperoni/Mushroom/Italian Sausage and it was superior to anything I’ve had down here in several years. There also is a very large brewing choice (it’s a brewery after all!) Manager Nick was great, as well as the staff - quick, and friendly. There is an outside eating area also here. It’s next to the Hobo’s Restaurant. 10/10 here! Y’all Rock!

I'm being generous with 3 stars because we think the beer is good. That being said, customer service needs some serious work, as well as the food. If they can work out the kinks, they could easily be a 5 star place. I agree with other reviewers that the servers, bartenders, etc. come across really rude at times - whether you want to order or just need to ask for a plate. Our problems were more around the large party we were with. We had a large party of 8 so had to pull 2 tables together. That wasn't the issue, but 2 of us went early to make sure we could get seating and sat at a table for 20 mins completely ignored. The 2 parties (tables) on either side of us were wrapping up and no one else had come in so we didn't think pulling tables would be an issue, but then 2 other large parties walked in. The servers apparently communicated with them before talking to us and that's when everything became an issue. We did end up getting our tables, but I think one or both of the other large parties ended up leaving - it was just poor customer service / communication all the way around. It wasn't until after we were settled that we were informed all orders had to be placed at the bar and they weren't actually "waiting" tables (other than bringing out food). A simple sign or something at the table could mitigate confusion / perspective up front with customers who are waiting for someone to come to the table. On to the food... the pizzas are generally good and we like the flavors, crust, etc., but all our pizzas were undercooked. We don't know if they were rushing or if they just haven't figured out the stone oven or what. We had to send one of the pizzas back TWICE due to it being cold in the center (and we mean COLD, the cheese was not even melted). They did take it off the bill, which was a nice gesture, but it fell a bit flat because the server seemed generally irritated with us at first for daring to send back food. We are willing to give this place another chance because we enjoyed the beers and food once it was cooked properly, but they definitely need to figure out what's going on in the kitchen and how to make your customers feel...

The beers are the only good thing here so a star for that. This seems like a very hastily thrown together concept that's not sure what it wants to be. Came in on a Saturday around 3pm, place was about half full, had to wander around for a few minutes before finally asking the bartender if we seat ourselves, they said "sit anywhere you want." Still weren't sure if we order at the tables or the bar, no signs or anything. A server finally came over after about 7 min of sitting there and got us started. Menus were coverer in crud and just printed on regular paper. Before doing anything else they asked for a card to start a tab, if I'm not sitting at the bar you shouldn't be starting me a tab. The pretzel stick appetizer was overpriced and terrible. Pretzels were burnt to a crisp and the beer cheese was rancid. The pizza was limp and undercooked and had the wrong sauce, we had ordered a Buffalo sauce but it had bbq. We had to ask for napkins with the pizza and when she did bring them she brought 1. Loved the rail theme but nothing in the restaurant played off of it, we really wanted to like this place but not in its...
