Sweetland Chocolates & Coffee — Restaurant in Rockford

Customer service was great! But our coffees... not so much. Both tasted extremely bitter for some strange reason. Neither had flavor of what they were described as, either. Quite honestly, they actually both had the same taste... just bitter! Unfortunately don't think we will be returning... $12 and time spent to toss out two coffees. 😔

In response to their response: I personally don't consider large coffee shops to be real coffee lol.. just personal opinion. They are more like dessert drinks. If I do want COFFEE or a nice latte, I'll typically go to a spot I like downtown that's a small business. If I want something sweet like a smoothie or Frappuccino, I'll go to big chain. I have a lot of experience in the coffee world. If you look at my review history, I have visited a lot of places big and small all over.. I know what I'm talking about when I say the coffee was not made right that day. I pass by this location often, and want to say that the coffees were definitely not made correctly. I'll always just think "it was a fluke... they honestly were just busy and forgot the syrup". I will say you do have decent other products, it was just a major let down that day to waste $12. Great spot to get local coffee, pastries and kombucha. Wifi is great and lots of tables. Can be loud at times with the music and conversations. So if you're looking for a quiet spot, bring headphones.

The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable about the different drinks, candies and menu items. I recommend trying their seasonal drinks, or my favorite Lavender Espresso milkshake or a classic Iced Miel with Oatmilk. Their pastries are fresh from Field & Fire bakery. The cherry scone and the pistachio cruffin are my fave seasonal treats.

We went in yesterday at 7:50PM (they close at 8 PM), the two employees we spoke with were happy, pleasant, didn't rush us (even though they were closing soon) and made us feel SO welcome. The customer service was truly astounding. (Whoever these two women were - Seriously, give them a raise! Lol) Not only was the customer service amazing but we ordered an assortment of candies and chocolates, all were absolutely amazing! We also got a hot chocolate and a coffee - we've never had better. If I could give this location more than 5...
