The Rockport Art Association & Museum provided the most perfect backdrop for our wedding day! Their communication throughout the planning process was prompt, helpful, and creative, making the experience seamless. In 1929, the Rockport Art Association found a permanent home in an 18th century building on Main St. Formally the home of a sea captain, an inn, a tavern and now houses a wonderful collection of art for artists and art lovers to enjoy. The Cape Ann School of Art is featured and some works by Marguerite Pearson’s Boston school of Art are shown. Many of the works are for sale and some are on display only. This lovely gallery is nestled among the shops in the heart of Rockport. It looks small but opens up to a light and airy space in an antique colonial.
