The Addison Choate Inn in Rockport, MA, swept us off our feet with its exceptional charm and hospitality! Communicating with the innkeepers was a breeze, setting the tone for a delightful stay. The room itself was a vision—gorgeously decorated (we LOVED all the amazing rugs throughout the inn) and equipped with a set of Young Living essential oils and diffusers, a wonderful touch that added an extra layer of comfort and relaxation to our experience. Embracing the serene getaway in Rockport, just north of Boston, was the perfect romantic getaway we needed. Nestled in the heart of Rockport, steps away from scenic vistas, quaint shops, and renowned art galleries, this inn is just perfection. Exploring Bearskin Neck area and the tranquil coastline was a treat; we even found a charming turtle ornament for our Christmas tree! The breakfast spread, carefully curated with locally sourced delights and homemade treats like scones, was a perfect start to our day of exploration. I love how you easily select your items on a menu the night before. Innkeeper Marshall, a true delight and co-owner, provided genuine care and insider tips, ensuring our stay was filled with memorable moments and a deep understanding of Rockport's charm. We loved how much of a quintessential New England experience this was. A must if you are visiting the North of Boston area. Oh and while in Rockport make sure to view Motif #1 and grab a photo, such a cute location!

We stayed in one of the newly renovated carriage houses at Addison Choate, and it was absolutely phenomenal. They’ve transformed the space into what feels like a traditional English cottage: charming, cozy, and beautifully styled. Every detail was thoughtfully done. The bed was insanely comfortable. I honestly wanted to take the entire bedding setup home with me. The carriage house includes a fully equipped kitchenette with a stove, dishwasher, fridge, hot water boiler with a tea station, and a coffee maker. It made the stay feel both luxurious and homey. The bathroom was another standout. The rainfall showerhead and brass fixtures were not only functional but stunning. There’s also a private patio out back that really makes you feel like you’re in your own little world. It’s very quiet and secluded, with no contact with other guests. It’s the perfect retreat. You also get your own parking spot, which makes everything so convenient. It’s a super short walk into downtown Rockport where you can explore all the shops, grab a coffee, or enjoy the waterfront. We highly recommend Roy Moore Lobster Co. for every meal because it was just that good. Other thoughtful touches include a full closet for luggage and blackout curtains on every window, which made for incredibly restful sleep. Addison Choate has truly created something special with these carriage houses. We can’t wait to come back.

Everyone loves to visit Rockport, and the @addisonchoate is my choice when Visiting @visitnorthofboston And now they just opened a newly renovated Carriage House, boasting two units two floors each with private bathrooms, living rooms and kitchenettes. It's beautifully designed and walking distance to all the best places in Rockport. Rockport, Massachusetts is one of those towns locals know to visit. Even when busy, Rockport never seems crowded and defines picturesque coastal New England. With locally owned small businesses ranging from glass sculptors, artists, and of course restaurants, you will feel good about visiting and supporting this town. @addisonchoate The Addison Choate Boutique Hotel is no exception. This 1851 property, recently renovated in 2019, is locally owned and offers a variety of options for your stay. My visit included a stay at their: The Dog Watch" suite, a spacious two-floor suite with a private entrance and porch swing. While everything in town is walking distance by my standards, there are bike rentals on property to get around town if you are so inclined. Rockport's Bearskin Neck, a popular shopping and dining destination, is walking distance and is a key area of attraction. The views at the end of the walk are worth the visit alone. (More later...)

My wife and I stayed at the Addison Choate House Boutique Hotel/B&B in Rockport, MA around the Thanksgiving Holiday. We liked the space so much, that we added a day to our stay. We stayed in the Crow’s Nest Suite. As the name implies, its at the top of house, so do mind the stairs, but the accommodations were well worth the effort up to the top. The shower had great pressure (a must for me). The space? Cozy, with all the essentials (Wi- Fi, TV, refrigerator, and coffeemaker) were all there. Comfortable furnishings, great original artwork, and peek-view of the ocean. The bed was firm (just the way I like it) but with a plush top that has my wife and I looking to find a duplicate mattress for our own home! Breakfast! Advertised as a full breakfast, and it was. Plentiful enough that I saved some of it for later, but it’s a bag of high-end goodies (muffins, fresh blueberries, yogurt, granola, milk), and not the “hot bacon and eggs” breakfast on a plate with silverware that I’ve come to expect at a B&B. Still, I was so pleased with everything else that it mattered|| little. The seating for dining is a common area, simultaneously roomy and intimate, and was consistent with the rest of the comfortable accommodations. We filled up on breakfast in the morning and were good to go until dinner time. Rockport has plenty of delightful shops and eateries to choose from, and the Addison Choate B&B is a 5 minute walk to all that downtown Rockport has to offer.|Our host, Marshall, was as fine as they come - a gentleman, great conversationalist, and listener. He helped me with our bags to the Crow’s Nest, and even procured shaving cream and a razor for me, as I had left mine at home. Marshall promptly and graciously attended to every request or suggestion we made. We definitely look forward to our next opportunity to stay at the Addison...

Addison Choate is the most lovely boutique hotel on the North Shore in quintessential Rockport, MA! My family and I stayed in Dog’s Watch Suite; we were excited to find the space as it’s not easy to find rooms that sleep 3. Upon arrival, we met Marshall who greeted us warmly and made us feel instantly welcome. He offered us use of an additional room if needed, which was above and beyond. As he helped us with our luggage, he kindly provided some excellent restaurant reservations based on our preferences. I have stayed in a ton of hotels across the world and this level of service is impossible to find. Thank you, Marshall!

In the Dog’s Watch Suite, absolutely no detail was overlooked. Our room was perfectly appointed with all the essentials; we felt like we were in a much nicer version of our home! The decor was modern and fun (could have been featured on HGTV), the bed was plush and evoked peaceful dreams, and the bathroom was updated and beautiful (loved the bath products). We even found some candies left for us, which was a great touch. Downstairs, we had a patio with hanging chairs, a perfectly appointed kitchen, and a lovely sitting area adorned with artwork. This theme continued throughout the charming property- and made exploring so much fun.

Breakfast was perfect, and the croissants were so good we felt like we were transported to Paris before exploring downtown Rockport. I cannot recommend Addison Choate enough; the location, the gorgeous, spotless rooms, the breakfast, and the unparalleled service will leave you wanting for nothing- except a return trip. Marshall, thanks for your tireless efforts to make our trip so special! Can’t wait for...

We decided to stay local after our out-of-state vacations were canceled due to COVID-19. When researching logging, it was apparent that Addison Choate stood out as the type of higher-end logging we like when traveling. After our visit, we know we made the right choice. What an amazing, relaxing, and refreshing experience (not to mention clean and safe)!

The transformation from outdated B&B to modern boutique hotel with vibrant historic character is what you get at Addison Choate. Traditional aspects, such as refinished original wide-board hardwood pine floors, architectural integrity, a hearty fresh breakfast, and spirited and friendly inn keepers combined with modern amenities including abundant electrical outlets, USB plugs, Apple TV, newly remodeled marble bathrooms with ample vanity storage space and a great hairdryer, extremely comfortable bed/linens, essential oil diffuser, and aesthetically pleasing decor makes Addison Choate the perfect blend of old and new.

Not only was this boutique hotel comfortable and welcoming, but it is conveniently located to all major restaurants, shopping, and beaching. It took only 6 minutes for us to walk with 2 beach chairs, umbrella, bag, and cooler to Front Beach. Perfect location with no need to take your car anywhere.

So happy to support young entrepreneurs like Marshall and Courtney, as they start a new generation of inn keeping and boutique logging. Wishing them much success. Hope to...
