Eagle House Motel — Hotel in Rockport

I had an amazing stay at the Eagle House. Gary's exceptional service made my time in Gloucester for work truly enjoyable. Needing a place to stay during the week and returning home on weekends for approximatelyone month, Gary was accommodating and helpful from the start. The place is clean, comfortable, and boasts a fantastic location by Main Street in Rockport, within walking distance of shops, eateries, and breathtaking scenery.

For those like myself who enjoy supporting local businesses, this is the ideal choice. Gary's assistance was invaluable throughout my stay. If you're expecting the Ritz Carlton, this isn't it. However, if you desire an extremely comfortable, clean, and affordable place with an excellent location and a fantastic proprietor, this is perfect. Being an owner-operator business, it's a work in progress, this is evident in the ongoing upgrades and maintenance around the facility. Gary's quality, pride and commitment to his customers and the facility are very evident and extremely impressive.

We were looking for a clean, affordable place in the town of Rockport to spend one night. We found it at the Eagle House Hotel. We were in Room 3, near the office. When we arrived (early evening), the office was closed, but instructions were left for us taped on the door. The room was an adequate size for us. More importantly, it was spotless!! The bathroom was on the small size, with a very TINY shower. But again, it was very clean! We easily walked from the motel to the main st , the beach, and Bear's Neck. Most shops were closed the Sunday evening we were there, as well as Monday morning. Others have commented on the church bell ringing every hour. I must admit, it did interfere with our sleep. I was awakened at 2am, 3am, and 5am. That bell would be the only reason I might reconsider staying here again. Unfortunately, the owner of the motel can do nothing about it.
