I have had my hair cut here and Mika is an amazing hair dresser. However, this comment is regarding my bridal makeup experience with her. Long story short, during my trial, she applied lash extension glue on my eyelids for false lashes. This kind of glue should NEVER be put on the eyelids and is definitely not designed for general false lashes. After going home, I had a traumatic experience removing the false lashes. I tried EVERYTHING including using rubbing alcohol on my eye lids. Many lashes fell out and I still had a chunk of glue on my left eyelid after 8+ hours of trying. Eventually, Mika referred me to a different salon in the area to take care of the glue/lashes because she was too busy to do it herself. In that salon, THREE ladies came in to help me but none of them were able to successfully remove the dry glue on my eyelid. Eventually, they had to yank it off along with my lashes. After what happened, I communicated with Mika to let her know that I did not feel comfortable having her as my makeup artist anymore. She was understanding and returned the fee for the trial. However, my deposit was never returned even though I followed the contract and canceled the service more than 60 days prior. She initially told me that she needed to discuss it with her boss but her boss was in China and he could not take care of this. Even though I was questioning this since people take care of business online now, I patiently waited. It has been a few months and I still have not heard an answer. A few side notes: before Mika even applied the glue on my eyelids, I asked her if the glue can be removed easily, and she told me that hot water would be fine. When that didn’t work, she suggested oil. It was until the next day when she finally told me that I would need a special remover, and that I should have it done by a professional because of how strong it was. There was a clear lack of knowledge/expertise in this area, and pretty irresponsible of her to use an adhesive product on a customer’s eyelid without understanding it. ** Follow up: After posting my experience, Mika quickly contacted me and let me know that the boss was back and agreeable to refund my deposit. My deposit was received within a week.

I came to Ali with a specific hairstyle I’m hoping to get but honestly unsure if that would work for my thin and soft hair. Ali was so professional - he did exactly what I wanted for my hair and the care afterwards is minimal (I’m lazy lol). I definitely recommend Ali if you want a great hair style.

I was not going to write a review but after a few months passed, the haircut I got was getting worse and wanted people to be aware. When I walked in, I was greeted by a nice man who did not speak English. He kept speaking to me in a different language so I showed him a picture of what I wanted (blunt bob). To make sure he understood, I asked the lady who did speak English to translate and she was almost mad at me for asking?but whatever, that’s fine. As I stood there while she translate, he turns to me says okay. HE CUTS MY PONYTAIL OFF without even being seated and shows it to me and laughs. That should have been a huge red flag but I figured - whatever (again) it’s going to get cut off anyways. He proceeds to cut my hair fine but uses the same scissors the entire process. I saw another review on here about this person using the same thinning sheers and potentially being the cashier. I’m almost positive it’s the same guy RIP. But whatever (AGAIN) the cut came out fine. He then started to cut my baby hairs and hair near my neck in the back. This was odd to me because if it grows back…it would look like bangs and just be off in general. He almost cut it like men’s haircuts. You can see now in the pics they have indeed grown out and now I have to gel these to the side and DOWN to hide it. I can’t speak to their other services but I would not recommend haircuts. Especially from the guy there who doesn’t speak English. Nice dude, terribleeeee hair dresser.

I recently visited IN STYLE SALON for a hair cut for my daughter. During the consult she was told about an additional treatment, Korean high protein straighten, that would total our services to $500. With the option if we were unhappy I would have the option for a full refund, I agreed to do the Korean hair treatment. However, my experience was nothing short of a complete disappointment. Not only did the treatment fail to deliver the promised results, but the customer service I received afterwards was extremely unprofessional and not at all what we were initially advised.

Prior to undergoing the treatment, I was assured by the salon manager Mika that if we were unhappy with the results, I would be entitled to a refund. However, when I expressed my dissatisfaction with the outcome, she suddenly changed her tune. Instead of honoring their promise, she informed me that they needed to submit my case to the owner for investigation.

I submitted photos and went to the salon where more photos were taken showing the treatment did not deliver the results we were told from our reference photos. They wanted to redo the heating treatment and I did not want my daughter to sit through the process again as we were not advised in advance that this could be multiple sessions. The lack of accountability and transparency is utterly unacceptable. It seems that the salon is more interested in evading their responsibilities than in ensuring customer satisfaction. As a paying customer, I feel deceived and let down by the false promises made to me.

Not only did the treatment fail to provide the expected results, but the unprofessional conduct of the salon in handling my concerns has left me feeling frustrated and undervalued as a customer. I expected a reputable establishment like IN STYLE SALON to uphold their commitments and provide a high level of service, but sadly, my experience has been quite the opposite.

I strongly advise against patronizing IN STYLE SALON for any hair treatments, as their lack of integrity and customer care is truly disappointing. Save your money and seek services elsewhere where your satisfaction is genuinely valued...

The guy who cut my hair seemed pretty nice so I want to leave 2 stars but overall the service was really only worth 1 star. For starters my appointment was at 7 and I arrived at 6:50 & the client ahead of me translated for the hairdresser that he was almost done & needed 10 extra minutes to finish up her service as in my appointment would get pushed back to 7:10, which I said was okay since it wasn’t that much of a pushback in time. It was 7:30 & he was still cutting the other lady’s hair so I asked if he was gonna be done soon & she translated for him again saying he was almost don’t even though that’s what she had said previously. I was nervous about leaving because online they have a $63 cancellation fee (the price of the service) so I didn’t want to get charged for walking out & they kept insisting that I wouldn’t get charged but when I asked about the online cancellation fee they didn’t know what I was talking about so I figure I stay since I had already waited more than 40 minutes at this point. I know there was a language barrier which is fine since he asked me to show him a picture of what I wanted, which was a shoulder length cut with some face framing layers but he cut my hair straight. Trying to explain what I wanted wasn’t going through to him, which again I understand we had a language barrier but I was getting a little frustrated with the cut not going the way I wanted on top of already having waited for so long so I just gave up and said it was okay. I wanted to try this place since the reviews were really good & my normal hairdresser was booked up but I’m gonna have to go back to her anyways to fix this cut. Would recommend to save your money & go elsewhere instead of paying twice to have...
