I always like going to the King Farm Park with my shih tzu so she can walk, run around and get her messages. I've met a lot of nice people at the park. I enjoy seeing all age groups. I'd like to see more people with disabilities enjoy the park too. I think you could welcome them by having more activities for them to be involved and included. I don't see any parks and recreation programs for the seniors or special needs. They should have more play ground equipment for wheelchair bound too. I don't like having to use the porta potty because of the foul order and it's not empty as frequent as it should be. I think the concession stand bathrooms should be open during park hours and locked at dusk every day. I think this maybe the reason people in wheelchair's aren't able to use a handicapped bathroom's. I like how you improved the dog park by laying the wood chips down to observe the rain and mud puddles. Please continue to not allow dogs over twenty five pounds in the the small dog fenced...
Read moreGreat park! There is a small, toddler section with 2 slides, tunnels, and a play house. Larger section for older kids or kids who are more comfortable with larger slides. The larger section does have lots of open spots for ladders and whatnot, so not suitable if you don't think your kid is ready for that. 3 low-seated swings, handicap swing, and one baby swing. Playground area has soft flooring, rest has wood chips. Perfect for strollers or scooters with a paved path around the playground and throughout the park. Ping pong table, benches around the park, trees perfect for a picnic underneath, and also picnic tables with some grills. There are also tennis courts. A plus is the dog park across the parking lot!! Ample parking right nxt to the park. There is a porta potty nxt to the dog park but also plenty of bushes to...
Read moreMy daughter's favorite playground! The equipment is starting to age but is still in great condition. The playground is huge, with a toddler area, bigger kid area, mini-house, and several structures, swings. Even has an outdoor exercise area for adults. There is also lots of green space, with picnic tables, grills, a ping pong table, and tennis courts nearby and walking paths. The King Farm neighborhood is also very safe and pleasant, the park very clean and well kept, and plenty of parking available for those driving in. My only other nitpick would be there is a lack of shade on the playground itself, so it can get hot and sunny mid day. Otherwise, tis is one of the best parks/playgrounds...
