I just left the most amazing magic show, “The Physician Magician” at The Rhapsody Theater! This beautiful little theater in Rogers Park is a MUST, as this experience was truly magical and one my partner and I will not soon forget. The drinks were solid and there were both alcoholic and nonalcoholic options available. (They also had small bites, but I didn’t try any of that.) The show itself was engaging, moody and extremely polished… perfect for those who want to believe in magic as well as the disbelievers. I got called up on stage for one of the tricks and I still can’t begin to explain to you how it was done; it was seamlessly executed. We were seated up front and I still left perplexed, but of course loving the mystery! I highly recommend this for a date night, special occasion, or as a special surprise gift for friends or family. I really can’t imagine anyone not enjoying this, it was good for all ages. I can’t recommend this show enough and I can’t wait to go back to check out the...
Read moreThere really isn't a bad seat in the house UNLESS you're seated along the sides, especially from the middle on back; because then you're facing outward, but needing to turn your body or neck towards the stage meaning you're either having to lean slightly forward the whole time to see around others, or you're just tired of having your neck turned. Regarding the booths (we were at Table 71), the vantage point and distance aren't a problem at all. Just know that even though it says they fit four people, it must be four regular to smaller sized people. No one in your party of four can be fat, super tall, have wide hips, or be really broad-shouldered - it won't work. I actually think the best seats are the first row of elevated booths (like where we sat) because they're off the floor. It's intimate and casual. Can't speak on balcony seating, but even it isn't...
Read moreBest magic shows - hidden secret in Chicago. My husband and I just saw Dani Daortiz, one of the best card magicians. I have seen him on Penn and Teller show - Fool Us. It was by far the most amazing magic show we have seen. Every trick was mind blowing - as if this magician has real magic. And so very funny! We have seen about 4 other performers there, and each one was fantastic. Small venue, the prices are incredible for how close you get to the magicians and the caliber of the magicians we have seen. Parking is easy - there is a fenced area. Beautiful, old fashioned theater but modernized. It is truly a wonderful place to see a show. I truly hope this theater succeeds - it...
