Pretty good Library. Nice atmosphere. Not too many homeless. The African-American security guard is totally cool 😎. He just goes through his rounds and doesn't bother you - doesn't stare at you.
The other security guard an older Latino gentleman is a little different. He had never seen me before so he started treating me as if I was potentially suspicious. He tried not to make it too obvious but every time I went to refill my water bottle which is right next to the food donation basket which was overflowing the day I was there, he suddenly appeared in that lobby area and pretended just to be standing there but you could tell he thought I might try to grab some food out of there.
Are you kidding me ? I'm not homeless. I dress well. I have a car & insurance , current tags etc. Higher education. And this guy is treating me - the adult 'white boy' like a suspect who might take a box of cereal out of the donation box ?
I'll be 60-yo pretty soon. I'm not there to steal any food. In fact had I known about it, I would have brought some to donate myself.

Read moreThe returns are so limited because of covid. I guess I dont understand why they cant just move the books once it's full in the bin to quarantine them elsewhere to make more room for more returns giving a higher turnover possibly. I love this library and they have a great team working a really responsible system and all the ladies here are fabulous and deserve so many blessings for showing up for their community in helping give us the gift of books and this negative review is not about them. i just wish it could be a little better on the return policy. Especially for people who work Monday through Friday and can't come during the...
Read moreLike all other libraries in the county you will be greeted by symbols of indentity politics upon arrival in several places inside the entrance. I don't understand how public places paid with our tax dollars became a place where public display of favored groups are highlighted. They have thier favorite causes and if anybody feels excluded or alienated by this, I guess that is their problem. Also wish they had more children's books in the official language of the country. My kid has a hard time finding new books she can read here now, as they definitely make sure one language is over represented here. Wish the the place was...
