This theatre has potential but no one knows how to properly alight the projector, they just start it and hope for the best i gave it 3 times 3 different movies and 3 different screening rooms. The stadiums when used have a wrinkled screen and peeling wallpaper. The standard veiwing screens are slightly better but still wrinkled screen and an exit sign that projects its red haze onto the screen in room #2 this could be remedy with a polarized shield or as cheap as this place acts a block of wood to the side where you could still see the emergency exit and also veiw the screen. Not a single film I've seen under the new ownership has been centered and is always partially off screen and like looking through a fisheye lens. The concession prices are extremely over priced compared to other cinemas but, the actually ticket prices are cheaper which is good because the quality sucks. I wish I could find a way to contact the owner because I have many good memories in this particular location and would be willing to help fix some of the issues just so Rome can keep one of the few places of entertainmentwe still have. Supposedly the theatre closed when the new owners took over so they could renovate unless they were peeling wallpaper and peeing on the seats they have done nothing which is sad 😔 I prefer to recommend local businesses but, if you really wanna see a movie and its important to you to spend that hard earned money I recommend taking your buisness elsewhere sadly even a big name company like AMC atleast you can expect a certain quality and can claim a refund if you're...
Read moreIt's summer so I carried my 8 year old grandson for a 1:30 matinee because of the weather.
Ordered a (as listed) Combo 3; bag of popcorn, 2 small drinks and a candy. No price posted/visible. Sign under combo said "you save $2". Charged $48.00 total for a matinee--
Manager explained the tickets were $9 each, while the combo was $30.
According to my guestimation, that makes popcorn $10, 2 small drinks $10 and a candy $10. I encouraged the manager that the prices needed be listed for all concessions and combos.
Pricey for a matinee. Tickets and concessions. Makes me understand why there were no other customers watching in the movie theater we attended.
In my small hometown movie theater, on a regular night with newly released movies, tickets are $7. This is in a recently updated, quad theater. They do offer concessions and combos at a fairly decent price. The combo I got at Mt Berry would not have been over $12-15. All concession prices are visibly posted at the purchase counter. This includes individual items and combos. On Mondays, our local theater offers a free matinee for the community. The owners may chose a past popular release which has a new/recent sequel. This is an awesome service for families to take the opportunity for family time during these times of trying to...
Read moreI haven't been to this theater since 2016 when the first Deadpool came out. While I can't remember my experience then, I can say that my recent visit will be a memorable one. For optimal seats, I suggest getting tickets in advance on their GTC website or app. There is also a rewards program. I paid $8 each for 10 tickets for a 2PM showing plus a $1.50 booking fee each. Entrance is straightforward, and the concessions are pretty simple (popcorn, candy, drinks, and combinations of said items). Bathroom is functional but has seen better days. The carpet and hallways look the same as I remember. That being said, some renovations are taking place, namely in the seating, so we may see some updates in other areas of the theater. The new seats are a great investment by the theater. They are super comfortable, recline an impressive amount, and are spaced well in between rows. The audio and screen size are debatably wanting, but they didn't significantly impact my enjoyment of the film. Picture quality is good. I'm looking forward to my next visit and any more changes that the Movies at Mount Berry...
