Stewart Park - Fir Grove Section — Attraction in Roseburg

Great little park! The kids (and I) loved the water features so much! Only thing, there's not much shade, so keep that in mind. I saw one lady who set up a shade tent, I'll remember that for the next trip there. They have a pavilion there that has shade, but signs say that they are reserved for concession stand customers which is lame because they don't offer many picnic tables at the park to begin with... Which is another thing to keep in mind. Lots of seating in the water play area though!!! Oh, the restrooms are close by which is awesome. I know other parks in town don't even have a restroom, or you have to walk a mile just to get to it. All all, it's our favorite...

I want to like this park- it's such a beautiful area and the splash pad, big soccer fields, and play structure are great.... but unfortunately, there seems to be a pretty constant stream of unsavory people. The bathrooms often have garbage, drug paraphernalia, or someone living in them- my son walked in on a passed out, mostly naked man on the floor. We spend a fair amount of time here for soccer practice but it's not someplace we would come otherwise due to...

Great park. Less than great concession stand operator. Came out screaming over an electric bull horn for people to move out of the spaces in front of the dumpster because it's a tow away zone. Problem is... it's a no parking zone only on days the trash runs. Not weekends.
