Last time I'll be coming here unless I need something unusual that only they have. I already started going to Walmart and HEB more since Kroger's prices started going up and up, way more than inflation. Today was the last straw. There were hardly any actual checkout lanes open, and there was one without the light on but yet people were being checked out. I asked my checker about it when I finally got to the front of the line, and she totally didn't understand that I was asking why was I spending my time standing in her line when I saw other people being helped in the line with no light on, that I could have gone to and been done much sooner. I also mentioned it to the person manning the line with no light. She said that she was just helping to lighten the load or some such thing, and I told her she could have lightened mine if I had known I could get in hers when there was only one person in that line. She also called me baby, which I found quite unprofessional.
Update after my next trip which I made to get things I could only get at Kroger, as far as I currently know. I am looking for someplace else to get them, believe me.
They never have any of the little two-level carts available, so I'm forced to push around a behemoth for my few items. The checkout lines were even worse than the last time, only two open and lines a mile long. So I reluctantly went to self check, which refused to scan my plums and told me to set them aside and continue. I finally punched in the code. Then when I went to pay, instead of asking me my form of payment it said help is on the way. Well help, two of them, were getting ready to walk right past me when I flagged them down. I gestured toward that annoying message on the screen, and was chastised for not saying hello. Well, y'all didn't even glance my way as you tried to rush by. One of them told me not to be rude. I said well if more checkout lines were open I wouldn't get in this frame of mind. The guy said you have a choice there are checkout lines open. I said yeah two of them each with a line a mile long. I thought Krogers were supposed to be unionized, but if so it doesn't seem to be a very effective union. Obviously the lack of actual checkout lines is cutting down on the number of employees. Or maybe the frame of mind of the union and the current employees is I've got mine Jack. Who knows. The only reason I care is those few items I have yet to find...
Read moreMy husband & I came to put gas in my vehicle and the pump immediately released a receipt with an amount that we normally don’t select & immediately my card without pumping gas in my vehicle . My husband inserted the card again thinking it was previous customer who didn’t get their receipt and started another transaction this time it asked to select the gas level he wanted and pulled the pump out to start pumping and got a second receipt with an amount we always pay. . Notice that my phone had given me two alerts of two transactions two minutes apart. We checked both receipt if everything matched and definitely both matched. We immediately went to the window to speak with the cashier & he informed us to go to customer service inside the store. We spoke with shift manager & told her what had happened and she stated had to look at the video camera. 45 minutes later she comes back and stated she can only give us the amount for the second transaction which was les than the the first transaction that was charged automatically. We got upset because if she saw the video she would’ve noticed that my husband did not pulled the lever out of the pump to pump gas out, but she wanted to refund us less. It’s very unfair. Then I asked “do your machine have a glitche or scam machines”? She said “no” then I stayed we should be refunded the full first transaction. She stated we can meet you half ways. So we were upset at the whole situation. Was tired had worked late and we hadn’t eaten dinner so we just accepted what she offered didn’t want to argue. With both transactions my vehicle would’ve had a full tank, but my car didn’t even go half tank. It’s very...
Read moreTOTALLY DISAPPOINTED with Michael in (Meat/Seafood) dept. today 04/04/17... I've experienced the steamer being down several times in the past so I called before driving to the store... I was informed the steamer was up & running, I arrived @ 7:33pm to be informed it was shut down at 7:30pm... although the dept doesn't close until 9pm; even more upsetting is it was shared with me, "the time the steamer is shut down depends on the butcher on duty"!?!?!?! How is this considerate to the CONSUMER??? This is definitely not a display of the Kroger brand... "CUSTOMER LOYALTY"... I am EXTREMELY DISSATISFIED with the service I received this evening; I will be contacting corporate merely because of his poor attitude & lack of consideration for how I was inconvenienced!!! And "Go FIGURE", he was the "customer service representative" I spoke with who confirmed the steamer was up & running... How many times does a customer call to question if the the steamer is up? Maybe not often, but a little bit of "CUSTOMER LOYALTY/SERVICE" goes a long way... so maybe in the future it'd be a good idea to share with an inquiring CUSTOMER the steamer will be shut down an entire hour & half before the dept. closes... I'm certain my gripe won't effect the business this store receives however I do hope it alleviates someone else a horrible experience of PISS POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE from Michael in the...
