If you want somebody, who’s straight Outta cosmetology school who’s not comfortable doing a real haircut go here. I went in today at 11:30 to make a haircut appointment there’s only one guy there. He is straight outta cosmetology school. He’s rude. He’s disrespectful. He told me to come back in an hour and a half, and he could give me a haircut. The haircut that I showed him on a 45 second video that I wanted, he agreed he booked it as I’m pulling in the driveway an hour and a half later I get a call from some other girl that is at Ulta that says that he’s not comfortable doing that haircut and then I’m gonna have to book another appointment on Thursday with some other girl I walk in the store the general manager’s there I asked to speak to her she comes to the front to get me we walk to the back I see him braiding hair and putting beads in a mannequin head. I walk over to him and I ask him why would you cancel my appointment? He says it didn’t seem like you believe that I could do the haircut why would you wait one minute before my appointment to have somebody else call me and cancel from the store? he starts to argue with me back-and-forth in front of the general manager. The general manager “finally”sends him to the back. I took off half a days work to come back and get my haircut. She said the most we can do is give you 10% off if you come back another day and get it cut by somebody who’s capable.!!!!! I’ll tell you right now there’s another girl that has cut my hair here at this location before at least four times I’ve always had to go back and have her re-cut it if not once but twice!!! lesson learned none of these people really know what they’re doing. The people that they hired to cut hair here are truly not professional haircutters. It’s very very very basic. They don’t know anything about blending. They don’t know anything about texturizing and they definitely are not professional. I went to JCPenney salons and had Maria cut my hair. It took 20 minutes. I’m talking wash cut blow dry texturizing and flat ironing and it’s immaculate. Do not let these amateurs cut your hair and especially don’t let them color it. You’re just going to end up going somebody else to...
Read moreI have been here once before this last visit. I had an online order pickup. I checked it while there to make sure everything was ok. Well, it wasn't. My sunscreen looked like it had been used because the box was torn open. Why would you pack an online order that way? Who picked it then sealed it up? I guess they assumed it wouldn't be checked while picking it up ... The sunscreen didn't have the tamper proof seal either. I asked for another. When it was brought back, the seal was missing there as well. I explained I purchase the item regularly as well as online and it has a seal. Another employee seemed agitated and interjected saying that none of them come with seals. I don't know about this particular store but others definitely have seals. The employee that interjected had more of an attitude while servicing 2 other customers and talking to me, even though, I was getting assistance from the other staff. I said, "I'm not going to put products on my body that look tampered with at purchase. That's just fair!" No apologies for the opened torn box they tried to give me or nothing. This lady had a pure attitude!
Prior to my incident, my nieces went to this same location and had a run with whom I'm assuming is the same employee when I described the person to my family. When they asked your employee for assistance she was rude to my nieces. It was one of my niece's birthday that very day and they were met with unnecessary unprofessionalism. Often times, employees are short tempered and lack customer service to underage consumers when the parent or guardian is assumed to be/not visible.
So...maybe she had bad day. 2 different days, though...? Maybe offer some customer service training. That might help because whenever people walk into your stores, your employees are the face of the business and what they do affects the business. I recommend an audit be conducted here to measure how you all deal with the public and your packaging. I just so happen to be one, and lucky for you all, I wasn't on the clock! The reports would not have looked good....
Read moreI was going to just ignore them but this really bothered me! I wasn't in this store 5 minutes before I walked through the door and the girl behind the front desk signaled for another lady to follow me to the back of the store. Of course when she got back there she looked directly at my hands and my handbag FIRST before even greeting me. I noticed not one other person in that store was being followed. But from what I could tell I was the only black lady in there as well. Immediately when you walk into a store you're looked at as a criminal. To make matters even worse the lady they sent back to watch me was black too. Sometimes its your own people. I don't even shop at Ulta that much but I'm trying to save a little money doing my own nails. So I decided to try this store in hopes of finding a diy nail kit to use at home. Hints the reason I was walking around, I was looking for the nail section. Only to get profiled not even 5 minutes after being in the store. Ulta don't worry that's your last time having to watch me. I won't be back anymore. As I type up this review right now they are still walking around me watching everything I do. This is the price we pay as black women! And I thought the ad about Kate Spade was bad! No, your customer service is just bad all around!!! Interestingly enough I see from the previous comments the staff here doesn't even ask you for help. It sounds like they have a history of ignoring their customers. This is I know for certain I was absolutely profiled in this store. I will probably never walk into another Ulta just because of the treatment from this store. Ulta you really need to understand all black women that walk in this store aren't...
