Debated if I should have even left a review or not, but I’ll choose to go ahead and do it. I went in there for a fill and a touch up on my feet and let me just say I was not impressed at all. For one, people that work in nail salons need to understand that if someone goes in there, they already know what kind of service they want, and when they tell you what service they want, please respect that instead of making them feel bad about what it is they want or demanding they get another service. I got my toes done at another salon a week ago so it was still fresh and I didnt really need a pedicure I just didn’t get the opportunity to get a massage at the other salons due to them taking so long i was in onyx nails for hours literally for just a pedicure… plus my cuticles were growing back and i wanted a scrub, when they lady came to do my feet she was telling me that when shes pushes my cuticles back I’d be able to see the growth, in a way suggesting I get a different service, then when she went to do the foot scrub she called it out very loudly about how my heels were cracking and dry, like yes, i know, that’s why i came here to get them looking better. FYI: People already know whats wrong with their feet, you all are experts and know what to do… I didn’t feel it was appropriate or polite for her to be as loud as she was talking about a customers feet… thennnnn my heels weren’t even taken care of at all… that’s the whole reason i paid $35 for absolutely nothing was to get my heels taken care of and a nail touch up… i dropped a picture below.
Then the lady that was doing my hands was more friendly, however I stated to her I wanted white, white means white in my opinion… but she chose to put a milky white on my hands when i wanted white and stated that’s what i wanted , i could tell she was wrapping up because she was buffing my nails and i asked her if she was going to put the white gel coat on and then she responded with “ oh you want that kind of white” ? Like ? I thought white meant white never have i ever in my whole life had someone give me milky white when i asked for white… then she made my nails all blocky looking, leaving my thumb nails uneven 🤦🏽♀️.. she was a friendly lady for sure though but the service was not worth $83 at all… more like $40 for both my feet and hands , unfortunately , then to top it off yall, they charge you $1-$3 just to swipe your card and call it a service charge , NEVER has that ever been a thing at the nail salon and I was never offered a beverage. This is now the third nail salon I’ve been too and have not been impressed. I’ve been actually pretty sad… i enjoy going into the salons, self care is so important but my trip didn’t feel like self care at all…
maybe they had an off day but what happened at this nail salon has actually never happened to me yet. I guess it’s a first time for everything … below i dropped some pictures …very blocky looking, heels still looking and feeling how they felt with me coming in just yesterday 03/24, and these nails are very very thick not very cute at all… and just a tip: the massage did not feel like a massage, rub on peoples feet and toes, gently squeeze their feet, apply some pressure to those thumbs and massage customers heels. The charge was pretty pricy for just having my leg rubbed… i came for a touch up pedi and a fill but the attention seemed to be just on my leg, customers are usually on their feet for work, a nice quick foot massage does the trick for most until their next salon visit. I know yall do that daily and it can be a work out, but customers come to you guys for a great experience and to be taken care of. If you need a break allow for yourself to have a moment so you can give a customer the best version of you and make their day and experience at the nail salon after all most people go every two weeks on average. Treat everyone like it’s their last time visiting the salon, not just another dollar...
Read moreThe technicians do a good job but checking out is consistent a hassle. One time my checking account had been hacked so my card was frozen (while I was inside, so i had no idea. I had just purchased gas that day so how was I supposed to know? My husband gets those alerts and he was at work). I was made to feel really badly and I had my AMEX. Well, they don't take Amex usually. I was close to tears and I'd been coming here for 5 years so it's not like they didn't know me. After what felt like forever they said they'd take my AMEX just this once but to make sure I can pay in the future. It was why I hadn't been back in so long. I was so embarrassed.
I got an email for 10% off for 7 days before or after my birthday. So I decided to go again, afterall it was just that one issue in 5 years and I can understand that there are people who try to not pay. And maybe they'd had a bad day. It happens.
Again, the technicians were great and we talked about my birthday dinner plans with my husband (who had to work on my birthday which is why I came in the day after my birthday instead of the day of my birthday). The technician even made sure to tell me I get 10% off for my birthday! That was nice, she didn't have to do that. So I go to check out and it's a whole production in front of people. I had to ask for it (understand) and show my ID (understand) and the email (kind of odd if it's well known discount). But then there was what I can only assume was a disagreement between my technician and the checkout clerk (by tone). The checkout clerk then said it's 10% day of my birthday only and 5% for the month after that so she was only going and to give me the 5%. I showed her the email that said 10% 7 days before or after. She was obviously irritated and now there's a line of people behind me and I'm embarrassed yet again. She ended up giving me the 10% discount and I tipped the technician ~15% as usual (I would have been more exact but did some quick head math because I just wanted to get out of there.)
I honestly don't know that I'll be back. The technicians are great but I hate the checkout service and that's twice in a row that I'm left feeling really...
Read moreIf I could give 0 stars I would. I have been coming here since this place opened and have always been a happy customer. I'm never one to complain or ask for something to be fixed as I don't like to make waves but I have had it. For the past 2 times a girl named Annie has done my nails. The last time she didn't cut them, did the refill poorly, and when applying the last clear shellac coat made a huge clump on my thumb nail. As this was Mother's Day I choose not to say anything and chalked it up to them being busy on a holiday. On Saturday I went back and I had Annie again. I decided to give her another chance. Nope, that was a bad idea. I don't know even know where to start. My nails are different lengths - my pointer very long but middle very short and they don't even match their counter parts. The refill wasn't done down to the bottom so there's a gap. They are painted on the sides. I asked for coffin and got square - like chunky square. Two nails are totally going to the side. I said something when I left and asked that I never be assigned to Annie again. The lady at the front desk understood and gave me an extra couple dollars off, which was nice and not something I asked for or expected. When I got home and looked at my nails I just kept seeing more and more things wrong. I called back and asked if I could have them fixed because I was very unhappy. The lady said yes and told me to come back at 10 Monday (today). So I did. Not only was Annie the one assigned to fix my nails, she barely did anything helpful, she just made them worse. She used the drill to file them so now the ends of my nails are rough and ugly. The shape wasn't fixed, the refill wasn't fixed, and when I told her that two nails were crooked she said it was because my finger is crooked! Well that's funny because before Annie I had never once had this complaint. And that was it. I was dismissed with nails that look worse, not better. I am now trying to find a new nail place. Probably Bella Nails in greatwood. I will never...
