Children's Neighborhood Museum - Round Lake Area Park District — Attraction in Round Lake

Unacceptably rude and inept staff. I will not go into the gory details of what we had to go through just so an 18-month-old could go into a dimly lit basement and play with some toys that work and some that don’t. I have every intention of writing to the Chamber of Commerce of Round Lake. Who trains these people? Apparently no one. we got three different stories from four different people all of whom did not know what they were talking about And acted as though they were doing us a favor by answering our questions..... As for the facility, as I said, not that great for the price. I would dissuade anyone, Resident or nonresident, from paying a membership...

It was a nice place to take my son! It's literally 2 rooms but there's plenty to do for the little ones. But since it is a small area, it's best to call ahead and check with them because they don't allow more than a certain number of kids. They don't open all day either so that's something else to check. They also are closed Thursdays and Fridays! We went today (Wednesday) and it was free so again call ahead to check if...

We went on the free night, and had a great time. Enough kids for mine to socialize with, but not so many that we couldn't have a turn with toys. We always enjoy coming here for the free night, but I wish they would change up the exhibits more frequently so that my kid would want to keep coming back. I rarely pay for it because there's a 50/50 chance he'll get bored within the hour.

They updated the museum!! They did...
