Just like most barbershops, make a reservation... But this establishment doesn't even have a sign in at the door, nor would they take my name. After waiting for a out 7min, unbeknownst to me, I was up for my haircut, had they taken my name I would have responded quicker, so one of the barbers yells "SIR"... Didn't pay attention due to one of the owners, I'm guessing, said it'd be about a 30min wait since I was a walk in. So the same guy again yells "SIR" even louder this time, great etiquette and all, but came off extremely rude. After that he sent me to a female in the chair by the front door to cut my hair. This broad stabbed me twice with the blades in my head, thinking she knows how to cut. I said to her "we don't have to rush the haircut" the first time she aggressively poked me and her reply was "oh no, we won't rush". ...6min later, another poke to the side of my head... and then 7min later, she was finished! It cost me $25. Not particularly fond of it since I asked her if she could shorten one side of my hair due to it growing thicker on that side, she just left it... Trimmed the thinning side of my hair good though, I'll give her that. It just all felt too rushed and I felt unappreciated as a person/paying customer. First and last time I'll ever go... And that lady is lucky I gave her more than a 20% tip since I have other things that actually...
Read moreThe Throne Barbershop is a lesson on how NOT to run a business and how NOT to treat your customers (especially a new customer!) I was in search of a new place for a haircut and saw Throne on a recent trip to Ace Hardware. Yelp reviews were mixed but OK. I made an appointment on line for 10:30 AM Monday May 22nd. I received a confirmation text, an email confirmation and a reminder email on Sunday afternoon. All excellent comunications! I arrived about 10:20 but doors were still locked and I noticed they opened at 10:30 so I was first appointment. I went nextdoor to Ace to get a few things and returned around 10:40 Doors still locked. I had another errand to run and afterwards I swung by and they were open...kind of. I walked in, stated I had a 10:30 am but no one was here, and was informed by a man that he would not have a barber until 12:30 or so. I left and made another choice to get my haircut. While I cannot review the haircut (since that ship had sailed) I can uneqivically state that it was one of the worst customer service experiences of my 69 years on the planet. They obviosly have no idea how to run a business or take care of a customer. I've owned busineses in my life and realize that taking care of a customer..better yet a new customer is paramount to success. Throne failed miserably in al facets of just plan good...
Read more35$+ they expect a tip for there rude service, usually I call and make sure I know who is cutting my hair.surely I won’t let a 14/15 year old kid cut my hair the first time I let it slide and he did the fading good but totally messed my beard up and never asked him to as for the first time I wanted to see how he had done. I respect the hustle I politely told him the first time second time that I don’t usually get haircuts by a kid. I recently made a much needed appointment before thanksgiving,I called spoke to shawnty the day before and she said “yes you can come in early” as I came in the door there was 1 person being cut not a big deal right? so I sat down on the gold couch they have and I had immediately got shut out being told”yea no you don’t have any appointments” than I proceeded to show her the call logs and seen the type of bs these 2 barbers that were in this morning all just to make a fool of myself over someone elses faulty customer service over the phone and in person.Gladly walked out with my chin up just ridiculous how barbers are nowadays they have no heart. Ps Eric(the owner) as nice as she may be to you,Shawnty is just point blank rude to certain customers she has and will continue to have definitely won’t be coming here anymore and suggest others not too.Definitely don’t need a...
