I enjoyed my stay, though short; I was there for a convention. The room was spacious, but I found it odd that the sink was outside of the bathroom.
This place is huge, and I didn't have the opportunity to discover all it had to offer.
There were several drawbacks for me: The entrance to the hotel wasn't clear to me. My GPS had me come in on the convention side and I couldn't locate the hotel. I'll blame it on tired eyes. There isn't anyone available 24/7. I arrived late and tried calling; no one answered. NOTE: I attempted to call 4 or 5 times on my drive up. You're left on your own if you arrive after midnight. You check-in at one of the kiosks, which is fine, but you have to go find parking and lug all of your luggage back up to the property since there isn't any parking close to where your room is. That was a trek! My rate was $209 per night; I inquired about a late checkout; why was I quoted $200 for an additional 3 hours?!?! I made sure I was out of the room at 11 am.
While I listed drawbacks, I am willing to come back because I want to experience the indoor waterpark and take more photos!!!! I also failed to mention that the staff I did interact with; they were polite and helpful.
Don't let what I listed as drawbacks deter you from experiencing Kalahari; use it as a guide to help you better prepare. P.s. There is luggage service to hold your bags. A young man at the front desk informed me of it after I asked if someone could drive me and luggage on one of their...
Read moreCame here for a bridal expo, the event had its own issue with being very cramped but because I'm assuming this is just a venue for the event, I don't fault them for that. What I do have issue with is the only elevator to easily get to were this event was was out of order and there was no one there from the venue that was around to assist with finding a safe route downstairs. I was attending the event with a person with mobility issues and there options were to either walk very far in hopes of finding another working elevator to that level then walking very far back towards the venue, or very slowly take the stairs/ escalator and risk falling. We opted for the stairs as to mitigate the risk of losing balance on the escalator. There 100% should have been someone there to assist people in safely. I am deeply disappointed by this and hopefully they can do better in the future for their own liability sake due to ada standards as well as for the General wellbeing of all who choose to attend events...
Read moreWe came here for the vintage market days with our kids. I loved it but I felt like it was smaller this year than the last time we went. I was hoping for more vendors to be there. But we still were able to get the famous Oklahoma toffee its sooo good you should try it its the best toffee I've ever had. We will go again next time if they have it at Kalahari again so even though it seemed smaller it was still worth it to me to go. I recommend checking the vintage market days out they only happen a couple...
