After having a nice massage on June 29th with a very nice and kind Massage therapist, I had a very bad/disappointing “Spa pedicure “ (not even close to a spa treatment) with thé worst technician!!! She was not only rude and argumentative she was also rough and rushed, after she hurt me I asked her to be gentle and slow, unfortunately her response to me was “that is how she works” and with that she stopped cleaning my cuticles! She told me she has the right not to clean ingrown nails (which I don’t have), I asked her to continue to clean my cuticles…but she didn’t! She started talking to the other technician and telling her that I am mad about her work and I had to correct her, tell her that I am upset not mad, but she was continuing with her conversation with her co-worker instead of finishing my pedicure. She was telling me that she has been doing this for 10 years (which that didn’t make her better for sure) She refused to continue the way it is suppose to be. She finished the nail polish without cleaning my cuticles with a very rushed massage at the end. Meanwhile the technician next to me with her customer was nice, slow, gentle and she finished the nail polish with customers flip flops/shoes on. When I asked my technician to do same “she said no she can’t do that” and put the spa flip flops on me instead. Okay…Until she finished and then ripped them off from my feet after she finished the nail polish without waiting to let them dry and left… I had to lean down with my injured back and get my shoes on my feet with out the technicians assistance. Something simple that was provided to the guest next to me by her technician. They charged me for the full service that I didn’t receive…
I have received Pedicures for the last 30 years of my life, all around the world in numerous countries and from both men and women and this single experience is absolutely the worst Pedicure I have had. The technician needs remedial training in customer services, communication and empathy towards hotel guest.
The management of the Spa and the hotel need to look into this employee and figure out what...
Read moreI was very disappointed in my experience with my 6 year old daughter. When I called to book our sessions, I added halotherapy since that was the only other thing I could do with my daughter. I also knew that I could only have spa access with a $75 purchase so I added it so that I could change out with my Mother and sister to get the full experience. When I checked in, they sent us to the relaxation room and never gave me a locker. I went back to the front desk to find out what was going on and they sent me back inside saying that they would investigate. They then told me that the person who took my reservation over the phone never added it. They didn't have it available for right after my service but they told me that it would be complimentary if I came back. I then asked about getting a locker and they said they would check but I never heard back before my daughter and I were taken back for her togetherness package and my pedicure. I asked our nail technicians about it and one of them checked and got me a key to the locker. They were really nice and did a wonderful job for my daughter and I. I went to the locker to find out it didn't come with a robe or spa slippers. I was very frustrated. After everything I went to the front desk to apologize if I seemed upset and explained that I was expecting to switch out with my sister and mother so I could get the full spa experience. She apologized and said that doing the halotherapy add on did not count for the minimum of $75 and that I should have been told when I made my reservation. I wasn't told and I was just so frustrated with how my experience was so I just left. I would never come back in future Kalahari visits since I feel like they didn't really care and we were more of an afterthought since we already made our appointment. I did tip our nail technicians well since it wasn't their fault that I received poor services from the front desk and they did an...
Read moreMy partner and I purposely went on a Monday pre summer madness with children swarming over the entire grounds. We had very helpful people on the main floor directing us to the special elevator that is just for spa clients. As soon as we stepped inside a calming fragrance hit us and we couldn't wait to check in!
The entire spa is pristine clean and everyone was friendly and accommodating. Our nail tech Tania took her time with us and all the products smelled amazing. She is also a massage therapist and an esthetician--so she could rattle off ingredients and answer my skin care questions! She had calming energy and gave me an amazing manicure! We don't drink but we ordered mocktail versions of the summer cocktails they were advertising and they were so refreshing! Tons of CND brand nail polish colors. Monochromatic rows for many colors. That was one of the best hand/arm massages i have ever had during a manicure! I would surely come back to see her. They do also have CND brand gel polish (less color choices but still plenty).
Salt room was worth the add on cost. We played meditation music and relaxed. Indoor adult water area attached to the spa was also super clean, safe, and relaxing. Complimentary fresh fruit and fruit water were located in more than one spot. The lounge where you wait for your techs was super quiet and had great ambiance. I will for sure be telling my clients to come here and take advantage of the discounts they give to locals! Locker rooms were beyond clean, the locker keys were easy to use, and the products provided in the shower smelled really nice. I will def be back in October for...
