This is one of the hidden gems of the entire Metro Detroit area. We've been ceasing ticket holders for 40 years, and have seen hundreds of shows that have never been less than 'good' and are usually 'outstanding'!
Seating is comfortable, the orchestra pit is deep below the stage and the music doesn't interfere with even front row seats. The audio is usually excellent, the lighting is always well done, and the acting singing and dancing put on by these community theater performers rivals what we have seen at the Fox and Fisher on many of their shows!
We have attended hundreds of shows throughout the metro area at all of the community theaters, and Stagecrafters is our favorite!
We just saw Tuck Everlasting their last week, and were amazed at how well...

Overall the show was well cast but the sound was absolutely atrocious. The next show I saw was Sunset Boulevard. It may be the worst production of any show I have ever seen anywhere. The cast came across poorly rehearsed and the leads fumbled with more lines than I can even begin to count. The sound was horrifyingly bad, the orchestra struggled in areas, and the set was disgustingly bad. Read moreWe've seen several plays at the Baldwin. Although the theater is small, the comfortable seats and beautiful, ornate decor make it seem like Broadway. The plays are put on by local talent and these locals HAVE TALENT! The staging is always awesome and the plays are entertaining. They even have a live orchestra! There's a small lobby near the entrance that sells pop, beer and wine before the production and during Intermission. A small concession stand is open during Intermission that's stocked with snacks and candy. We usually go to dinner before the show at a local restaurant and then park in the structure that's across the street from the theater. We would highly recommend supporting...
