Hands down the absolute worst nail salon experience I've ever encountered. My daughter needed a fill and both of her pointer finger nails replaced. The guy that was doing her nails didn't file her nails to match the 2 new ones he put on. It was extremely noticeable. My daughter tried explaining it to him and he wouldn't listen so she came over to me to show me and asked me to help make him understand that her nails were very uneven. The man had the nerve to yell at my daughter! Yes I said yell! He told my daughter she didn't need to come to me that he is in front of her and she needs to speak to him so I spoke up and corrected him for speaking to a minor like that and for telling her she can't come to her mother and he proceeded to yell at me! It took everything in me not to turn that place upside down. He might have understood or cared to try and understand if he wasn't in the phone from the time we walked in until the minute we left. Long story short he laughed in my daughter's face when she told him he was wrong for treating customers like that. Oh and let me not leave out the fact that the lady that was doing my nails all of the sudden didn't know English after conversating with me before this all happened. Noone tried to help us, the other employees just acted like nothing...
Read moreI have gone to Athena nails a few times, came out above average and the price was good. Wonât be going back after today though. The one thing that always bothered me was the lady up front is kind of cold and stand-off ish but whatever right? Today I went in and got a refill from a younger man ( I try to not be picky and take whoever is available) and he took more than 90 minutes for a fill, not even a full set, this is annoying but I was fine with it. Once he was done though, the shape was distorted, the nail color was uneven, my nails are chunky looking, and he drilled right into under my skin so bad that at one point I finally couldnât help but flinch. I understand heâs probably learning so honestly I dealt with it and left. Once I got in my car though I just stared at my nails and cried, so I worked up the courage to call the salon and explain my experience and request to come in later today for a do over with someone else. The woman answered and said âok ok ok ok see you thenâ and hung up. No empathy, no mention of a time, no mention of whether Iâd have to payâŚjust hung up. It feels awful and it threw my day off entirely, I wasted my money and felt disregarded and donât plan to...
Read moreI scheduled for the first time to get my nails done the day before an interview and asked for dip French nails. I had Tina who kept trying to convince me not to do dip and try something else. I continued with dip and she seemed very unsure with what she was doing. I ended up spending almost two hours there. At the end, she decided to pick up nail polish and start polishing over all the work she already did. She ended up free handing using nail polish and made a French tip. I thought this was a little odd but didnât want to question her. That night, all of the nails started chipping. By the time I woke up every nail peeled off. I rescheduled my interview and came in the next day and asked to get them fixed with someone else and for a refund. Haley who was very nice fixed my nails for me. When it was time for a refund, Tina said absolutely not. I explained that I shouldnât have had to come back. I wasnât asking for her to fix the dip, she needed to remove the polish that u DIDNâT ask for. She got into a screaming match with me and told me to call the cops because not getting a refund. Literally the worst experience Iâve ever had at a nail salon in...
