Went there tonight to celebrate my aunt's birthday... And just have to say that we had a great time!
Well as far as a review goes... I guess that I'll start by the exterior of the establishment, I was deff impressed by how clean everything was outside of the restaurant. You can definitely tell that they pay close attention to the parking lot and immediate area outside of the place. The parking lot was very clean, the whole area right outside of the doors to enter the building was very clean as well. Then entering the restaurant we were immediately greeted by very nice staff who were working the cashier station. Also the are at the front of the place was very clean as well, you could tell that the floors were swept on a regular basis. We got our drinks and were escorted to our table at the far end, because that's were larger parties are seated. It wasn't too many of us, but we were a party of 7. But that's where our server Paul was happily waiting for us. He quickly came and introduced himself and offered his services in anything we need or may have needed throughout our dinner.
I deff noticed that his section was well maintained as also! The tables were very clean and the floor was nice and clean as well. We proceeded to get up and go serve ourselves our dinner. Then once Paul noticed we all had a plate of food in front of us he came by to make sure everything was good and asked if we needed anything and then went ahead and refilled any drinks. This is something he was very attentive with... He made sure our drinks were filled at all times through our meal. He was also very good at prebussing the table and getting any & everything out of the way once we were done with it. Also the men's bathroom was very very clean! They deff do a great job at keeping it up! So I'm sure the women's bathroom was clean as well.
I do have to mention that all the food was very good and each station where the food was held, was nice and neat. I know I saw the people manning each station constantly cleaning and working to keep their section organized and well maintained. They were also really nice as well and very polite when addressing a customer. So at the end for dessert there was a great selection of treats and sweets... Which made me very happy! 😁😂 The banana pudding was simply amazing! I mean everything I had and tried was extremely good but their banana pudding most deff stood out for me... Not just me, my father, grandmother, and my aunt and her boyfriend all thought the banana pudding was one of the best options on the dessert area of the buffet.
Soo I guess to wrap this up... I'd deff recommend this particular Golden Corral to anyone who is considering going there for their meal. I'm sure that regardless of the reason for visiting whether it be just a regular lunch or dinner or any sort of event like a birthday or holiday that you'll find your visit and meal there to be very good and enjoyable! And the staff there will do everything they can to ensure that you have everything you may need and make your time there extra special!
Last thing I will say is to please remember to tip your server! This is how they make their money... They do their best to make sure you have anything you need and that you enjoy your time there as well. And regardless whether you happen to be nice to them or you happen to be a really horrible person to them, they will do whatever they can to ensure your happy and enjoy your meal. So yes it is their choice to work in a tip based industry but it is also your choice to go out and dine at the place they work at. And it's also your choice to be someone who shows them common human decency and respect or not. Also something to keep in mind is that a server makes an average of $4.71 an hour... So they 💯 rely on your generosity to make any type of a livable wage, so that they can in turn provide for themselves and their love ones.
I know this was a long review so thanks to anyone who took time out of their lives to read what I had to say about this place and anything else I mentioned......
Read moreWent here for the first and the last time over this past weekend. Arrived at 2 pm thinking the lunch crowd would be gone. Boy was I wrong! The parking lot looked pretty full but I had no idea how full this place was till AFTER they took my money. When we arrived there was only 1 person in line in front of us. We paid $38 and change for 2 lunches, 1 soda and 1 water. They took our money and told us to wait at the end of the register to be seated. When we got to the end of the register we realized that the ENTIRE restaurant was full. Not one single seat in the entire place. Had they told us this we would not have paid and just left. There is 1 woman in front of us waiting for a table for 2. She has been waiting for 20 minutes. Once she is seated it is then that they tell us it will be another 30-45 minute wait to be seated and this is after already waiting for 15 minutes. Again, had they told us this BEFORE they took our money we would not had paid them and just left. After 10 more minutes (now 25 total) we are still waiting and it doesn’t seem that anyone that has a table is anywhere near leaving. This is not only unprofessional and rude AF but now it’s just a waste of time. Even when we do get seated it will be shoulder to shoulder with the table next to us as this place is that crowded. The line at the buffet was just as bad. Not to mention with this many people they are constantly running out of food even though they are bringing out more food. They just can’t bring out the food fast enough to satisfy this crowd. I told the Hubbie just to get the money back and let’s leave. That’s exactly what we did. Had we stayed goodness only knows how much longer we would have had to wait and even then we still would have had to wait at the actual food Buffett due to the long lines. Then we would have finally gotten our turn at the buffet only to find most of the food trays empty. Apparently it is like this all the time according to the woman that was in front of me. They really need a bigger seating area or need to tell people BEFORE they take their money that there aren’t any tables available and there will be almost an hour wait and then additional waiting at the buffet for food that may or may not be there. NEVER again! What a waste of time, gas and money. I would advise anyone thinking of going to this place to seriously consider going somewhere else if you actually want to eat and not have to wait hours to do it. Good luck to those who still decide to attempt this...
Read moreThe employees are not friendly, and you would think that the waiters and waitresses would do all they possibly can to ensure that they get a tip being that the only thing that they do is clear your table and refill your drinks because you get your own plates. But that's not the case. I watched and observe how the tables was packed with plates and the waitress had no sense of urgency. Well, as I look throughout the whole store they all don't have no sense of urgency. The food was sitting in the containers overcooking and nothing coming out and the manager in the back was trying to help but wasn't being aggressive with their Associates so that they understand how important it is to get the food out. I would think that the number one meat there is fried chicken and they was out of fried chicken on the table. I was there for about 30 minutes and none still haven't come out. It seems to me that the managers was too timid. There's too much friendliness among the associates than business and it affects the decision making. I still left a tip because it's the right thing to do. Maybe she was having a bad day. I also went back up after I sat down because I don't carry cash and ask them to give me cash out of my credit card for tips which was no problem but I forgot and left my credit card which I would think that the manager who was helping me would remind me that I forgot my credit card but he didn't. I went all the way to the movies right down the road and came back right away. But what I'd observed when I asked the lady for my credit card they had a container that when people forget their credit cards that was filled with other people credit cards. That tells me that there is a problem with the associates. It is the associate responsibilities to give the customer their change and their receipt and their credit card especially after taken that credit card from their customers. Also anybody can run in and grab that container of credit cards being that it was just sitting on the counter folded in pieces of paper. I don't know if the place is a franchise or not but I believe that they need a market manager to sneak in to come in to have dinner and to observe to see. they have to understand that that place is in the cut. My map took me to a street when it's not on the street it's in the plaza behind trees. So it's very important that you treat your customers to the utmost because the majority of the people that comes to that place is going to be by...
