We started to come here back when it was $25 for all you can eat so when it changed to $28 we accepted it because the service and food quality were usually on point. But as of this year our experience with dining in had been so poor, it became a place to avoid. The last time we had been here was in September for a bday celebration (not very spectacular) and we hadn't been back since yesterday (12.28.23). I have to say EVERYTHING we ordered was super delicious! Down to the yum yum sauce and the service was attentive. As a table we ordered Buffalo wings, plain wings both tender and juicy. Beef ramen (always had been my top Dish from them, despite them sometimes missing the bar in the recent past) there were plenty of noodles and more than 10 pieces of beef! The broth was flavorful. Sweet potato rolls, avocado rolls, cucumber rolls, gyoza, edamame (flavorful w. The touch of salt), and we tried something new which was the deep fried salmon roll (we liked it and would be ordering that again). All the rolls were delicious. The avocado in the avocado roll tasted creamy and fit not spoiled and stringy; also there was a good amount of avocado in it. This recent experience with family was so nice. But, I did order a Pina colada cocktail and I promise you there was no way it had alcohol in it. I had my family taste the drink and they didn't taste any alcohol either. I asked our waiter but she reassured me that they pour this much alcohol (and she separated her index and thumb about 2 inches) this much alcohol in there. And that it was sourced from a different brand.
... I felt cheated on that point ... I should have seen it for myself or maybe followed up a bit harder w. The bartender. Keep in mind, it was absolutely delicious but it tasted virgin! I plan to try it again the next time we come here.
.. I do hope they do not drop the ball in the future. I would like to bring more family and friends here but only if they keep this up. I asked the waiter and she informed me that they went through several cook changes in the recent past and a management change. ...I do appreciate that change and I encourage you all contemplating whether or not to stop by to at least...
Read moreThe food is NOT worth coming for when you are LITERALLY BERATED by an unhappy waiter/server. The food wasn't terrible. Just pretty bland with limited options. As my party was headed out we needed to go to our vehicle and get a tip. Literally as we are walking out the server charges up behind us in a THREATENING FASHION; which no one should nor would take likely. He storms at us LITERALLY YELLING ''what did I do wrong ?!" Repeating this 3 times. Immediately I only wanted to reassure him that we're simply getting a tip (since we all paid our bill already) and we all said he did nothing wrong -we just were going to the car ri grab another card so we could add our tip.. Then he proceeds to become belligerent "no no no no no ! You were leaving! " Again the guy went from 0 to 10 within seconds ! At the time we walked out he was speaking to another patron, so we didn't want to interrupt since all we were doing was heading to grab a card from the car and come back in. He began shouting at us OUTSIDE the door entrance. All of us were trying to explain we simply needed to get another card. He said no no no ! Don't come back you stupid American! We all felt genuinely bad because maybe he had been "stiffed" recently but even when we returned with the card ,he blocked the door and was yelling at the top of his lungs "no no no don't come back , I hope I never see you again in my life '' . Again my goal was to console him and be polite. Then as we finally gave up with trying to reason or explain, you could see there was no reasoning with this young man. As we were leaving he began to "dry spit " I'm an extremely understanding individual but it was Appalling to see, live & experience that . In all my years never have I nor my family/party been through something as shocking, rude & Nasty behavior from a waiter at any restaurant. He was emboldened in some way so for Safety purposes , we'll never return based on his unruly & unreasonable behavior. Truthfully we should have made an official report but felt maybe he was having a bad day. However a "bad day" doesn't give you permission nor excuses such fowl , rude, &...
Read morePRICE It was very yummy food! It was $29 for the all you can eat, so be prepared. I looked at a menu online at it said $24, so that was a SURPRISE. However, if you're going to order at least 2 sushi rolls, or 1 roll and a noodle or rice dish, it's already paid for itself. đđ»
THE STAFF was incredibly kind and accommodating when you were able to grab your server, but the servers seem incredibly busy, so it's somewhat hard to place your orders (it's an all you can eat sit down dinner, so you have to continuously place orders). It's for sure not the servers fault at all, but I do wish for their sake there was more staff so that they could check in with their tables a bit more. However, it's a hard industry to work in now, and we understand staffing is limited. Our wait staff worked hard to make sure we were taken care of.
GLUTEN FREE PEOPLE I recommend the Yummy Yummy and California rolls (hand and regular rolls) as well as the volcano roll! I have ALLERGIES (peanuts and gluten/celiacs disease) as well and she worked super hard to accommodate them and helped me find something I could eat!
Food we ordered (the good and the meh of it): SUSHI/ SASHIMI/ HAND ROLLS all were super yummy! If you order a volcano roll, order it by itself first bc it's HUGE and you'll fill up quickly. Everyone at the table seemed really happy with the sushi. SIDES We do advise against ordering (I think my friend said it was called) "crab salad". It is a pile shredded crab, no sauce, seasoning or anything added in, on 4 Pringle chips. And because they charge you for any food not eaten she had to eat like a cup of plain crab. Good in amount, really not good for flavor. She said she would have returned it if she paid for it a la carte, since it was just shredded crab on Pringles, legitimately. She also said you get the same amount of crab on the volcano roll, and it's much much better, so just get the volcano roll. The gyoza was apparently delicious too! DRINKS/DESSERT we skipped the drinks but notice they had tons of boba! And I was the only one who got dessert. It was the pineapple coconut ice cream and it was creamy...
