This Sunday for the very first time we celebrated Veterans Day at Ruby Tuesday and we chose to dine-in at Ruby Tuesday in Royal Palm, Florida. My husband, daughter and myself were greeted very kindly upon entrance into the restaurant from there we were taken to our seat by our wonderful server named Gianna. I thought it was a little too much sun on the table so she graciously offered to seat me elsewhere and to pull down the shade for me just so that I was more comfortable. It probably was no major thing to this young lady that provided that service, but it's the little things that you do for people that matter. I believed right then that I was going to have a pleasant experience and my assumption was 100% correct. Our server was a young lady named Gianna, ( not sure how she spelled her name) I told her that my blood sugar level was low so please bring me a strawberry lemonade immediately because I knew that I needed sugar she immediately obliged she had a very pleasant disposition and she really seemed like she enjoyed her job which is not always the case, because sometimes we go to places and the servers act like they were forced against their will to be there but not Gianna ( if that's not true then she's a heck of a good actress). She asked honestly how I was feeling after that I felt so much better after that! She went on to ask us how we were doing, how our day was going, and she answered every question that we had about the menu...she did her job. After receiving our order she let us know that while our entree was being prepared we could go over to the salad bar and make our own salads. The first thing I noticed were the disposable gloves that they offered along with the hand sanitizer in order to grasp the handles and to not have to worry about germs on bar from people's hands especially during this time. So I was delighted by the hygiene consideration that was displayed at the salad bar. The salad bar was fresh and just fantastic! It was probably one of the best salad bars I've experienced! Gianna arrived with our food Gianna and the kitchen staff were very accommodating and professional. I asked to speak to the manager Jessica, and she came to my table to inquire if everything was okay and I just had to share with her how pleased I was with the service that I received from Gianna. Jessica the manager really did bless me. She took time to come to the table and just talk to me. It wasn't as though she was just trying to get down to what the problem was, but she genuinely listened to me and shared things about her life as well and how she takes great pride in her staff. So I definitely know that she leads as an example for her staff. Every worker that was present that I viewed seemed like they were moving with intention and in step with each other and that they didn't seem unhappy in any way ( at least that was my perception) Everyone seemed in step with each other and I told her that to me that means that they have a great leader and a great trainer and so on behalf of my family we are grateful and we will definitely be attending your restaurant again with great joy...
Read moreI was not satisfied with my experience at this location. The food was not bad, but it wasn't great either. Definitely not worth the $60 for 2 of us. However, the service is what I was most disappointed with. It took too long to be greated let alone seated at a table. I was the only one there, and could not see any other reason that the hostess(es) could be that tied up. The 1st person who greated me told me they'd be right back, sat the couple in front of me, and never come back. Our server took well over 15 min to come introduce herself, then we waited another 10-15 min for to take our drink orders. I was able to go to the restroom, outside to take a call, and smoke a cigarette before she come back with our drinks and took our order. The wait for the food was reasonable, except they brought the appetizer out at the same time with our entrees. As I thanked her and politely asked for steak sauce, she was already down the aisle before I finished "thank you". A manager seen that and brought the steak sauce herself. We didn't see her again for drink refills, to just check on the meal, or to see if we needed anything else. We had to go to the opposite side of the restaurant to get another server, who had to find our server, to bring us our check. At which time she then decided to ask about the meal, drinks, or anything else. I asked for a tea to go, which she charged us for. I'm very sensitive with hospitality employees and what they go through daily, as my sister has been a waitress, bartender, and manager for about 15 years now. It is Mother's Day, so I expected a crowd, a slower time with service, etc. However they were not busy at all. There were empty tables, extra servers on hand, etc. Perhaps they were recovering from an earlier rush. I don't know. What I do know is that I had expected that the service would've been better than...
Read moreWhen we first arrived at the hostess stand, no one was there to seat us. We stood there for quite a few minutes. He finally came out from the kitchen. The restaurants was not busy. There were only two tables of people eating. He brought us some water and disappeared. He finally came back and took our order. He brought our food and left. He never came to see if everyone was good. He never brought us more napkins or water after that. Once again he disappeared. At that point, we were the only people in the restaurant. There was no reason not to come back to see if everything was ok. He just didn’t care. We had to flag another food server that had just started her shift to get us some water and our check. We gave her the cash for our check and she disappeared. She came back and told us the original food server would bring us our change. She then went outside to play with her phone. Didn’t anyone want to work? It sure didn’t look like it. After she came back in from playing with her phone, she asked if he had brought us our change. Which he hadn’t and we had been sitting there a good ten minutes waiting for our change. She came back with our change finally. The people who work on Tuesdays just don’t care about the customer or taking care of their needs whatsoever. We had been there the Sunday before and it was wonderful. There was no manager there or staff that gave a dam what was going on in the restaurant. I’ve never seen such pitiful service. No to mention that our food was barely warm. I doubt we’ll ever go back again. I guess they don’t your...
