I think eventually this could soon be my favorite shopping location.
However, I was deeply disappointed in the absence of a sheltered bus stop and the absence of a clear and Welcomeing accessible sidewalk into the main concourse or even the food court for non-drivers. Site maps a few places would be helpful.
For what could be a crown jewel for local tourism, away from downtown , the planning of this Center REALLY dropped the ball not haveing a designated site for cabs, Paratransit, or other conveances such as tour buses. More benches and a posted walking path with water fountains would definitely encourage the health concious "Walking" consumer. Accessible store bathrooms we're in every store I have been in and CLEAN. Bravo.
There are still many stores who are not open or fully operational or appear to be fully stocked. I am frustrated when soft openings do not have their electronic payment systems up and running because I do not want to deal with cash.
And I was glad to finnally see the theater listings posted in the newspaper.
Would be helpful if phone numbers and more information about this shopping center were published or made available by mail. Not all monied patrons want to be attached to electronics.
Some stores seem to be struggling to get staffed and that resulted in long waits or occasionally long walks to find purchases. Growing pains? Opportunity to put people and training programs together.
I was however VERY pleased that the grounds were visually appealing, well cared for , trash and vagrant free, and security was around without being intrusive. This is one of the few shopping venues that I fell safe and like I was NOT going to have to deal with out of control people; while still feeling a true hopitality towards a...
Read moreOn 8/6/21, I visited the Delta Shores store again. I really enjoy the friendly and helpful employees. At check out, the lines were very long. The store was pretty busy. The check out lane to my left was cash only but there wasn't a sign to visibly display to shoppers near the back of the line. Of course this caused some frustration when they had to leave that line to use their credit card in another long line. I continued in my line. Upon check out, it took 3 attempts before the system accepted my credit card. I remarked I never had that problem. That evening when I returned home, my bank sent a copy of about 5 recent charges. My bank wanted me to verify the charges. 2 charges of $254.96 were on my account. One was charged to Delta Shores Wal Mart and the other charged to the North Highlands Wal Mart store simultaneously??? My bank denied the North Highlands charge through their fraud department. I am so grateful they caught that so quickly- less than 2 minutes after the charges!! My bank said my card information had been compromised. I was to destroy that card immediately. I received my new card today -Monday, 8/9/21. I made a report to Wal Mart. The Delta Shores Management is to investigate this matter and get back to me by 8/12/ 21. Today is 8/14/21. I am correcting the double charged amount to $154. 96 at the Delta Shores Location and the North Highlands location. The Wal Mart manager at Delta Shores did contact me on 8/13/21 to inform me they are working on the investigation. I hope this is figured out quickly in case it has happened to others. It is taking a lot of time switching all of my accounts to my new...
Read moreI enjoy Delta Shores. Wide variety of shops and restaurants. Clean and sparkly. I never see any security patrolling. I'm sure they exist. Probably in security vehicles. I don't know what you would do if you needed assistance, maybe there are signs somewhere. The place is pretty large and it's an outdoor mall so be prepared to re park your car 8000 times as you move from store to store.
I'm happy this place exists.
I'm not gonna list the stores, you can see that on Al Gore's internet on your own.
My favorites are Sees Candy aka Devil's Playpen,Daiso the Japanese version of a dollar-ish store,Ross - no comment needed, that store with all the lotion and candles and the clerks that chase you with shopping baskets, a Wal-Mart that is pretty calm first thing in the morning,RC Wiley -furniture and stuff to make you want to remodel your home-I never see RC when I'm in there 😂, and Xfinity-so I can pay my OUTLANDISH cable bill in person. Holiday time I would never... It gets super crowded and the parking lot becomes a Roman gladiator scene. NOT for the...
