"Made On Demand"... In case you are wondering, that is what the MOD stands for in "MOD Pizza". This is undoubtedly my #1 favorite fast-fired pizza restaurant with Blaze Pizza and Pieology as my runners up. But something about MOD that sets it apart from the rest is that their pizza is not only tasty but also less greasy. And their Marionberry Lemonade beverage is a refreshingly delicious way to pair up your customizable pizza creation. MOD Pizza currently operates in 29 states around America. The location I am focusing on is at the Howe Bout Arden shopping center in the Arden-Arcade neighborhood of Sacramento. I am no stranger to this particular location as I have been to a private Yelp event here (back in 2016) and have eaten here on many occasions since then. Parking isn't that difficult to find as I have never had any issues while normally parking directly outside of the business. I ended up dining here around 8:00pm during the evening of Friday 6/10/2022. Since it was still a very warm 94°F at that time, I definitely decided to dine inside. I also noticed that this actual location does not offer any outdoor seating. However, the overall layout of this place is very spacious with a sizable seating area, a large wall displaying photos of peoples' experience at MOD pizza, a self-serve fountain drink station, and two public restrooms. The ordering process is very simple as you tell them what type of pizza crust you'd like as well as the sauce, cheese, spices, veggies, and meat. Since I enjoy variety in my pizza, I decided to go half & half. One half was their signature "Dominic" (white sauce, asiago, fresh chopped basil, red onion, sliced tomatoes, mild sausage) while the other half was their "Mad Dog" (mozzarella, pepperoni, mild sausage, ground beef, red sauce). I also added several scoops of Ricotta cheese on my Dominic while loading up more sausage on the Mad Dog. What I like about MOD Pizza is that there is no limit as to how many toppings you're allowed where the price doesn't increase. I've even witnessed customers put layers of meat on their pizza to make it look more like a pizza skyscraper, lol. After placing my order, it is ready within 7 quick minutes. The pizza itself was piping hot and delicious. And the "Marionberry Lemonade" is in a class all by itself and it had that sweet and tart flavor to it. As I mentioned, since this is a fast-fired pizza, the taste was not greasy while being absolutely delicious. The veggies and meat were fresh while the crust was crispy while not being burnt. I also noticed the staff all working together and communicating within one another as a team which made the entire process simplified. All in all, "MOD Pizza" was an exceptional experience and worthy of a five-star Google review at the Arden location. I have also been to a few other of their Sacramento-area restaurants (Roseville & West Sacramento) and both of those locations are just as good. With that said and done, this company is doing it right by training good people with an overall excellent experience.

I may be a conisour or at least pizza is one of my favorite foods. This, I think, may be my first pizza review. I will try to explain and give my best insight into Mod Pizza. Friendly staff for shure, walking in on a Sunday prelunch only 1 customer ahead of me. The restaurant was large, clean, & well lit in the daytime, also very well laid out. The execution of this restaurant felt almost flawless. While going to a new place can be overwhelming with all the options and uncertainty that an unfamiliar menu may impose, it tends to make me uncomfortable . The idea and dynamic of Mod Pizza most definitely makes it easy for a first-timer like me. I ordered Mega specialty Pizza, it was 16, and some change. I added a couple of extra toppings. The price was beyond decent for the pie. If you don't already know, this place doesn't charge per toping like everywhere else. Hey, the pizza was way above average. Brick oven is definitely an asset to what Mod does. Way different flavors come out than everywhere else that I've tried. I look forward unfortunately to revisiting this place and the thousands of combos I can try, Mod you got me... See you soon...

I've been to Blaze Pizza, Pieology, and PizzaRev and Mod Pizza is above and beyond a tier on its own. The ingredients taste much better than any of the other competitors, and it's just a burst of flavor in your mouth every single time. Make sure to load up on the toppings since there's no cost to you for doing so. I'd definitely say this is one of the defining restaurants of Northern California for Pizza, and if you can visit this place I would definitely recommend going here. The spreads, sauces, and toppings selection is wonderful, and the seating is extremely well spaced out. Employees can be a bit pushy sometimes but most are usually friendly and fun. I'd definitely say this is the way to go for anybody looking for pizza and it's not even close.

Enroute home from a Women’s Conference and my daughter suggested pizza, however, due to medical condition, my diet has changed and pizza (due to process foods) is a no no. She explained to me the various toppings I can add to the pizza which will make it healthier to eat. So, we drove-up and parked. Nice area! There’s a line…”Sign” of good food! She again, tells me some of the toppings I can add to the pizza. The menu list pizzas, but not the various toppings. It will be more efficient for 1st timers placing orders, if the toppings were listed on the wall menu. I gave the young man at the counter the heads-up of my first time there. I sort of knew what toppings I wanted on my pizza; just needed confirmation of MOD having the ingredients. The young man was attentive and helpful and asked if there was anything else I would like to add: suggested; which was good for there was a seasoning/topping MOD had and was added. I don’t drink sodas, so, no drinks for me. Suggestion: Fruit-Infused Waters (unless there were some and I didn’t notice, sorry!) While waiting for the pizzas, went to the restroom and the most sanitize thing I noticed was opening the door to exit. Who ideal was it? Perfect! I hate having to use my clothes to open the restroom doors to exit when a hand-dyer is used to dry hands. The foot door opener, thats what I’m calling it, lol, is perfect! Impressive and worth every penny. Loved it! Returned to table and explored my surroundings. Noticed various pictures on the wall; nice; looking for family, friends or Kida. The wait for the pizza; no long wait! My daughter brought the pizzas to the table, mmmmm! Our orders; accurate! The perfect size for me, thin crust, however, the ends too burnt, hard to eat. But, the pizza was delicious! My toppings on a cauliflower crust… Pesto, feta cheese, kale or spinach (don’t remember which), tomatoes, chicken (pre-frozen;?), bell peppers (wish all three were available), red onions, garlic, olives, I think I had romaine, mushrooms, cucumber, and I think broccoli was added, not sure. I ate every slice, except the very ends.

Learned MOD stands for: “Made on Demand!”

I saw the “No name cakes”! Tempting!

My daughter said its a MOD in our area, I recalled seeing, but thought all pizzas were the same; seasonings making the differences.

I will be placing orders in my neck-of-the-woods; smile!

Oh, the young lady who was making pizzas next to the young man was also friendly.

Friendly environment! Cute chairs and...
