First time I came here was bad. $15 for parking $16 for park entry come on sucks. Then wristband $44 for rides. But the entry when I came in took 10 minutes to enter because the women was to lazy to talk and wouldn't tell me what to do. Then I wanted to go on the rides I used the machine and then my bracelet didn't came out. And so I was helped but then they sent me to an office where I don't know where it was and there i was walking a whole hour and 30 minutes trying to find the office because no one would take me and help me they just tell me that way and I didn't know where. Worse experience and now I only had 2 hours of fun which were wasted quick do to many people waiting to ride which I'm patient on like everyone. But was bothered by how much time I wasted and money for a simple 2 hours of fun all to get my wristband and entry to the fair. I should've gotten back some money then. Maybe the whole refund. Very bad. But I guess I did had some fun after a while which was great. I do recommend others to go here but I gaved it a 2 Star because 1 person working there did try helping me. Oh yeah forgot so 8 minutes to park 5 minutes to go walking inside the fair 10 minutes wasted on entry. 15 minutes on the wristband help cause I didn't get it after paying. 1 hour and like 30 minutes I think finding the office. And yeah only 2 hours of fun. It's $16 for each person. Kids I don't know but for...
Read moreIt was a disappointment this year. It's very outdated and lackluster. The rodeo was the biggest disappointment. So many people were falling off the bulls way too quickly. The jokes and skits they would do in-between were super outdated and not funny at all. Food is still very overpriced. I got orange chicken, rice, water, and lemonade and paid about $40. This is exactly why I eat beforehand, so I only have to pay ridiculous amounts once. The rides were cool, except for one of the ferris wheels where your cab would spin horizontally. It was very uncomfortable— especially when you were waiting for people to get off the ride— and it was awkward. The stingray exhibit was a disappointment, too. They didn't have the bigger stingrays, and they didn't want to come out so we could pet them. There were no horses. I wanted to do a horse ride, but they only had ponies. I watched one of the cattle shows and it was very hard to watch. It's just long, awkward silences and a lot of waiting around. The other shows (pig race and tractor pulls)...
Read moreI was a 4-H horse leader for 10 years. What a disappointment today was to return to the Sacramento County Fair. My family and I were all very excited about going, but it was obvious that my grandchildren were not happy to see what I had told them was the best time my daughter and I had during her growing up and participating through 4-H and FFA years. We walked through the livestock barn and then strolled over to the horse show arena, to discover that there were no horses there. What has happened to the county to not have the pride to exhibit the hard works of our youth? I’m sorry for poor structure of the fair and the lack of enthusiasm that the fair was given. Please forgive my disappointment. I have returned to Sacramento after 20 years and was really looking forward to this event. I am hoping State Fair...
