I want to start by saying the only person I want to complain about is the nail tech I had, Kailee. The other women in the shop were wonderful. Kailee was extremely unprofessional and rude. First, my appointment was rescheduled three different times because they were busy. I get it, that’s fine. But do not schedule clients if you’re not going to have time to finish their services. Kailee took her time with the person before me, even showed off the nail art she completed, but rushed me out the door. She painted my nails and off white color when I asked for a color she said they were capable of doing. She had another women start my service and then completely failed to pick up where she left off. All of my nails are a different shape, she didn’t even bother to file them. She also cut my thumb nail cuticle so badly it’s bright red and stings. I paid $80 for a service I could have done for free. I will never return...

Ok I may have found my new nail salon!

I got the Bougie B*itch Gel Manicure (Cat Eye add on) with gel removal.

I’ll admit I got very nervous when Ying started to remove my gel with an e-file. Yoiks! You’re not going to soak these off? No. And let me tell you; my nails thanked me for this technique. Ying is obviously HIGHLY skilled and successfully removed my gel and then slathered my nails with thick cuticle removal oil and went to (gentle) work on my cuticles.

There was just so much attention to the care of my nails and cuticles. My nails don’t “hurt” and no cuticles or skin or nail beds were harmed during the making of this manicure :)

The conversation flowed effortlessly and was the icing on the cake to a very pleasant and clean experience. The salon is beautiful with intentionally selected furniture. All of the staff were friendly and welcoming from start to finish....

I had the absolute best Russian manicure and pedicure experience at Smudge Nail Bar.
