Went to this sephora with my friend. We both have worked in the beauty world for 8+ years. We went in dressed comfortable, it's raining out, and just wanted to swatch new things that we don't have at our stores. Immediately we got asked multiple times if we needed help, first 2 times it's good customer service but after that it was repeat every 2 minutes. One guy snuck up behind me and asked if we needed help after 4 separate people already asked! We eventually made it over to fragrance and noticed hourglass concealer on an end cap . I told my friend that I use it on my clients, she decided she wanted to buy it and before we could even figure out where it was the same guy who already snuck up on me snuck back up on us AGAIN and I asked him where hourglass was. As he took us there he said on his walkie talkie "IM TAKING THEM TO HOURGLASS!". I started my career in an ulta, and worked my way to be a high end brand representative and makeup artist. I get it I really do but they lost not one but 2 customers by judging my friend and I and assuming we were stealing. My friend is black, and I am white, my makeup was not done like a typical makeup artist (i'm not working) and she had none on. I am aware that my baggy pants and baggy sweater can hold a lot of products in them but at the end of the day this was borderline harassment and made my friend and I extremely uncomfortable. Every time I have gone inside with my work clothes I am treated fine, I even get asked by their customers if I work there! I realize this is an issue that they face a lot but at this point they're just losing customers. We both had money to spend and left with nothing because of how done we were. I don't know if this was racial because of my friend or if this was just them judging by the clothes we wore. Whatever it was they need to fix it...
Read moreSo I went in with my cousin super excited to get Rihanna's new foundation and beauty blender. My cousin got colored matched and we asked if they had any in stock. She told us no which we believed because her line just came out. We also asked the girl if they had any blenders at least. She said no again. We only went in for those TWO THINGS. We later saw THAT SAME GIRL open up their back stock and they had 6+ beauty blenders. Like WHAT?! So we walked over and opened the bottom drawer where they have their back stock and took some out. The same girl that told us that they did not have any foundation/beauty blenders left came up to us and asked us if we needed help. We told her they did have have some left. She told us that "no one told her" and that "she'll restock them right away" we walked away and she still hadn't done it. How do you not know what you have?! You WORK THERE?! So when I got ranged up I told the girl what happened and she was being rude to me as well!! So so rude! Seriously wouldn't go back there again. Unless you want to get lied to about having products or not. I wish I got their names....
Read moreFirst visit to this location. I wanted to like it. I only needed an eyebrow pencil - no specific brand or type - just a color for a brunette. Easy, right? No. The first three brands I looked at had the display pencil missing, making it hard to see if the color was right without opening up packaging. So I asked an associate for help and she said "I need to find a makeup specialist to help you - it will be five or ten minutes. I was already there 10. After more searching I finally found something, then the "makeup specialist" showed up, and even though I found what I needed, she steered me toward a couple more products - and they were both OUT of STOCK. At least she tried. Everyone was nice, but there were MANY other products I could see were out of stock, put in the wrong place, opened packaging. Very disorganized & sloppy. Not the nice shopping experience I...
